According to Xavi's father, Iker Casillas' friendship with Xavi has annoyed Mourinho.

Xavi and Casillas are the older players, along with Vincente Del Bosque, who have unified the Spanish national team over the last few years. The two players have known each other since they were teenagers! Yet Mourinho suddenly has an issue with it! It just proves that over the last few years it has been him and Madrid who have stirred things up and have turned the games between Real Madrid and Barcelona into petty arguments played out over the Spanish media.
