Top player and bloke but it seems he will always be remembered for not delivering for England like Hick.

He was a fine batsman who probably have done great things for England under an England coach like Andy Flower and central contracts.

Great player for both Surrey and Middlesex over the years, shame about his record for England, although his record against Australia speaks for it's self when not many English batsmen made runs against them.

He played intl cricket at a time when there were dozens of world class bowlers , he would have succeeded more if he was born 10 yrs later.
