The only thing it that moght be an indication for the season ahead is the formation & depending on whether JJ plays up top or out wide even that's not obvious yet!

why would a manager and ive been one at a much lower level ! but all the same ,put a team out who he thinks wont be his best starting line up the first pre season match ?

but i do feel! whatever goes out today ,it wont be the team what starts the season. due to us hopefully signing 3 or 4 more players
because looking at this line up jones and sedgewick make the middle look very week !

There could be any number of reasons why he's picked the team he's picked today. Any number of players could be feeling tight after days running up hills, he might have given incentives to be the best white water rafter by getting a starting place, Lewis Buxton could be having emergency surgery to have a vacum cleaner removed from his kn0b after becoming bored in his hotel room!!

I also don't believe there's such thing as a nailed on first 11 in football these days, there's so many factors go into picking your side for whichever opposition you play & wherever you play them.
