After seeing Pastor Maldonado trying to run Sergio Perez off the track in Monaco, Lewis in Valencia and Spa last year i couldn't believe the leniency of the punishment handed out.
As we found out again this week with Maria De Villota, motorsport is incredibly dangerous, that will never change.
I find myself agreeing with what Jacques Villeneuve was saying recently about youngsters driving like they're on a PS3/Xbox.
None more so that what i came across from last weeks World Superbikes from Aragon in Spain...

Yes your not seeing things, that's one rider trying to headbutt another rider at about 160mph... twice!
Do these kids not realise they're playing with there own lives as well as there competitors! Its nuts!
Sofuoglu went on to win the race.... he penalty was disqualification from that race.
Was that enough? I don't think so.
Both Maldonado and Sofuoglu should have been banned, there is no place for that sort of thing in motorsport.
Rant over.

Don't get me started on the pay driver. Remember last season? He ran into Lewis as well after quali, they had a coming together at Monaco and he's done some additional stupid stuff.
Vergne got a harsher penalty. Maldonado is dangerous and shouldn't be allowed to continuously use his car as a weapon.
As for sbk, never seen anything like that and I've been watching motorcycle racing for decades. Capirossi took out Harada to win the 250cc championship
I remember that one. I also remember Stacey moaner punching someone during quali. He only got a fine though

I did think Maldonado's penalty was lenient since he ruined another driver's race. Perhaps the leniency means he's been given the hoop behind the scenes and he won't be driving next year like when Wurz challenged Schumi at Monaco that time. Here's hoping.

The cyclist Mark Renshaw head butted another rider in the 2010 Tour de France. He was disqualified. Should have been given a medal.
