If this is true good luck to him
Luka Modric has agreed personal terms with Real Madrid, according to the Mirror.
Tottenham always looked likely to struggle to keep hold of Modric this summer after failing to qualify for the Champions League last season, with Chelsea and Manchester United interested alongside the La Liga champions.
Spurs turned down a £40 million deal for the Croatian international, who starred at Euro 2012, from Chelsea last summer, and were hoping to secure a similar fee this time round having conceded defeat in their attempts to keep hold of him.
New manager Andre Villas-Boas has reportedly been told he can start looking for Modric’s replacement, a search he will have to step up with Modric agreeing a move in principle to the Spanish capital.

Cabaye has not been mentioned much but I think he might be a decent replacement if we can get him.

I'm with squid on this one - none of the stories have come from Madrid, it's just journo's filling pages. To be honest I'm surprised there hasn't been a huge bid for him yet - after his performance against Spain at the Euros I expected it.
With each passing week I'm more convinced he'll stay, and I'm 100% behind Levy on demanding to dollar for him. We don't need to sell so they can put up or shut up!

Looks like spurs want Oscar as a replacement for Modric but he doesn't want to leave this summer...Moutinho would be the ideal replacement for him and having worked under AVB before a realistic option

A source close to Modric is quoted by the Daily Mirror as saying: "Everything has been resolved satisfactorily.
"Luka and Madrid agree on everything. The only problem is the position of Tottenham, which has made things a little more difficult .
In other words if you are not going to pay £35 million then forget it. Modric is making the same mistake as last year in thinking it is him that is calling the shots. It is not it is Mr Levy.
