Season Ticket Returns

The club announced in the local paper that only 14 people have enquired about retuening there season tickets for a refund.
I personally knew someone who went down to the ground straight after the anouncment of shakells sale and he was number seven in the que.

Personally I think there have been alot more than 14 and Iam wondering if I should do the same with mine and my daughters.

I see this as the only way to get these owners out or to make them invest.

Iam not a fickle supporter and have been attending since 1969 through thick and thin and thin and thin hardly missing a game.

Your thoughts please especially why i should not obtain a refund.

I wouldn't be surprised if the figure of 14 returns is what they have had so far - there hasn't been long since we sold Shackell and requests have to be written which takes time.

Personally I have only just had chance to catch up with the people I go to the football with and we have decided that we will make our decision based on who we buy over the next few weeks. I am leaning towards asking for money back & would take some good signings to change my mind (probably 3 players on perminant not loan).

I don't want to be forced into asking for my money back because it is the football - I always go and it is a good chance to see friends and family but I feel it is the only way we will send a message to this board.

Let's not forget the quote from DCFC (of 14 people) came out in the DET in the early hours of Sat morning. It was no-doubt made on Friday, just hours after the JS transfer news was confirmed.

I think it's fair to say there have been many more requests since.

OK, I've rationilsed it.

I'm as pi55ed off with it as much as you lot at the end of the day - actually I'm seething.

However....

It is Derby County I follow and support, Derby County that 13YO follows and supports NOT Nigel Clough, Andy Appleby, Tom Glick or GSE.

Not an ideal riposte but then maybe I deserve all I get....

I'm with WSR on this one. My Sats out are already on the Calendar.

No season ticket = Westfield

I will always be a Ram but, I have reached the point where as far as Iam concerned GSE are pi55ing down my back and are telling me its raining . Well its now time to do something about it.
We were the 8th best supported club in the whole of the country 2 years ago and we still have no decent centre forward. Second in attendance only to West Ham in our division last season with a bottom 6 wage bill and apparently still running at a loss? Yet 2 or 3 years ago Glick said the only outstanding money owed was on the mortgage for the ground circa £15m.
Lies spin bull s41t call it qhat you want but when a club with the massive support we have cannot cut it with the likes of Burnley then their is something wrong.
Our support deserves better and more investment. What and where does our money go ? A big screen TV and a plazz (may be). Well it does not go on the playing side.
Enough is enough and if that means not going to home games so be it but, I/we can use the saved money and invest it in some more away games and cheer our team on and not line the Yanks pockets.
For a man who was brought up on Mackay, Macfarland, Todd (a British transfere fee at the time) Hector Gerorge and more recently Davison Wright, Saunders, Stimac, Biano ,Eranio, Assanovic It is extremely depressing.

The timing of the installation of a however many metre square TV is impeccable. You got to give it to them. A normal TV in the home placates most people nowadays!
I feel sorry for the poor old Folks in the North Stand who will be payin even more money out in Chiropractors bills with whiplash!

Anyway, Swan, it sounds as though you are listening to your gut instincts. Best way
It is a personal choice and you should never allow others to influence it. Have to admit at the end of last season I was beginning to wonder if I had misjudged.
Now I know I haven't.

White swan.... Do what you think is right pal, I think your making the right choice

You may not go to home games, but you can still go to away games, even more so if you save your 400 quid or however much them money grabbing ******** rip you off with!

Derby is in our blood mate and we will forever support them, just not lining there pockets and getting nothing back for it! Which is why your better off going away, more and more are now starting to do it, it's the only way to make a stand.

Paynter:

And there are plenty on this board who would view that as 'progress'. Mind you, there are quite a few on here who are frying-pan and fire-lighter salesmen.
