O'Neil swoops for villa duo?

If were lead to believe the rumors Martin O'Neil about to bid for 2 villa players Agbonlahor and Collins shortly.
Personally i wouldn't mind getting shut of Collins but i'm not sure gabby be sold, if Lambert plays him up front with bent then i believe he will score goals if not then i would sell him as hes not a a wide player.
Thoughts?

Depends on whether we get better replacements. Bent can't do it all on his own up front, Wiemann is still learning, so we need a class striker. Gabby is a mixed bag but unless we get somebody really good I'd keep him.

Likewise Collins. If we've a class central defender lined up I'd let him go. Otherwise, wait and see what PL can get out of him.

if we could get at least £13m for them and be able to reinvest it into the team then id take it.

Gabby has spent 7 years at Villa and had his favored role upfront for 5 of them. He'll NEVER be the striker we all hoped he'd be. The last 2 seasons he's been played out wide sometimes and basically does nothing as he's not a winger. It's like a man down every time it happened and were at an immediate disadvantage. A pointless decision. As a striker upfront he isn't good enough to start. He's a 3rd or 4th choice striker for a midtable club.

We need better. Bent, Wiemann and a new addition. Then Gabby if he stays. Fonzy is a waste of time.

Gabby is ok on the break, it's when MON got the best out of him, although even when MON was here he still only just got into double figures each season and fell well below the 20 goals we all hoped he might get. He relies too much on pace, his movement isn't great, his finishing is poor to average. However, he'd be a very good option from the bench and to start some games. So I'd keep him.

Collins definitely yes. He kept Clark out of the team last season and is a big liability. He needs to go. Obviously it will be tough but we need to try and recruit a top class defender. We tried it with Adil Rami and we need to try again. Kjaer, Douglas, Caulker or Sakho would be my choices. All young and potentially top class. Then work on recruiting a quality left back.

There's still work for PL to do and I hope he sorts it soon.

Maybe it's a case of Gabby needing a change and if Martin believes in him, and signs him, so do I

I, like 'Villa fans seem to be saying, am not sure about Collins
