Sonny Bill to move to Japan

Dissapointed to hear the news that sonny bill will move to japanese side wild knights after his stint with the chiefs. He will then return to rugby league in asutralia which apprently is due to him honouring a handhsake agreement he made before he returned to new zealand.I for one am gutted we won't be seeing him playing union with the all blacks, because he was starting to become a crucial part of the team.t

I have to say I strongly disagree with this effort to only pick players playing in that one country, to me that restricts freedom of labour which would seem to be a human right to me, and I think the policy, not just of the NZRU, but most of them is stupid and arrogant

I think Williams is a good and potentially great player and I'd love to see him continue for New Zealand - though preferably not against England, and I hope teh NZRU will see sense

This isn't really relevent here though, after Japan he is going back to play league, I am sure NZ will be better served developing players for the long run, its not as if they are short of a few.

It all sounds very fishy to me, banned for 5 years then goes back as soon as the ban is up due to a 'hand shake' yeah right.

Sounds like a money grabbing tool to me.

agreed on his talent, but hey, take a look at his recent history, he's got some form!

He had always planned to eventually go back to rugby league. He basically played Rugby in NZ to get into the All Blacks to play in the world cup.
As a New Zealander, I have mixed feelings about him leaving rugby for league, but hey he can play for the Kiwis again so its win-win for me
