Have we ever had it so good?

I know our team under Bill Nich was our most successful side in the History of our club but in recent history, is this the most exciting spell our club has had?

Could be a bit premature, but right now I don't think I've been as positive in the 20 years of following Spurs as I am at this moment in time.

Am I wrong are you lot also excited about the hands our club are in?

AVB hasn't done anything yet. At all. He may be awful. We still have no confirmation of new stadium, desperately need a new keeper, striker, cover for wings and full backs, modric is going to leave and leadley retiring. We have a lot of work to do before season even starts I think we are best to keep our fingers crossed and see what happens.

I still think that Friedel is a very solid keeper for one more season at least. As for fullbacks we have Naughton backing Walker up and Vertongen can play LB if required. Adebayor should be signed soon and Defoe as back up is not too bad.We need a back up winger though ( Hoillet cn play left or right).

I'm excited about next season already but we've definitely still got some issues that need sorting.

A keeper I think can wait, as can cover for the wings to some extent - the striker issue is one that could make or break our season, but one we would've faced whoever was in charge.

Looking around though I think we've all got good reason to be positive. Roman is clearly still firmly in charge of Chelsea's transfer policy, and Liverpool have a similarly risky manager with a worse squad. While Arsenal are at risk of imploding under the weight of van Persie rumours.. even United have issues in midfield, and the Glazers dodgy finances.

Still, "never had it so good" is going way too far - if he gets us into the CL again them maybe.

I was feeling reasonably happy until the Juande Ramos comment

How depressing was that period
