Myself and several workmates have emailed Appleby of late and expressed our feelings towards them, interesting the reply one lad got -

I can really appreciate your disappointment, but we do have a great deal of ambition. It’s just that we’ve spent circa £50m on this team and now we need to act much more responsibly or there won’t be a DCFC at some point. Does buying 9 players and losing 7m last year sound like no ambition?

Please stick with us. We need everyone’s support. Besides can you imagine not being at our game’s this year? Crazy.

They are in the doo dah , thats the only conclusion I can draw, they are not stupid , therefore need to be in the prem to get return on their investment, to get there they need a decent team .
At this point you either go for it and put some funds in to the squad , or sell up and get out as life in the 2nd division aint very rewarding.
The sun today put Derbys value at 35m ( taking on debts of 22m ) = 57m,
That aint goin to happen and they know that, they claim to have put in 50m ( if you believe a word they say ).
When the Yahoo gadgy left and called in his " investment" the debt went from a "manageable 15m to 22m overnight.
Its a nasty quandary for them , it looks like they decided to keep grinning at us with there big white teeth , whilst selling any player that draws a bid.
At some point the proverbial doo dah will hit the fan
