And so, Shamrock Rovers European voyage gets off to a very good start.
"73 men sailed up,, from the San Francisco Bay,,,Rolled off their ship,, and here's what they had to say...We're calling everyone to ride along to another shore.. We can laugh our lives away, and be free once more"
All the best to St. Pats and Bohs.

Yes they went through, but i think it was pretty close at Ibrox too.The Bohs players also got to have what is the only ever game of Gaelic football at Ibrox, as they trained there.

Ta for asking, yes, the day after another European victory, i'm outstanding, busy looking past The Gers and Linfield, and concentrating on Barcelona, ya gotta look at the big picture. How bout yersel', you all right after yesterday ?

It's kinda a cross between rugby and football, not a fan myself. The significance being that , amongst the thousands of Gaelic football players in Ireland, you'd be hard pressed to find a single Gers fan, quite the opposite in fact.Hence the perceived defiling of the hallowed loyal turf of Ibrox, by those decidedly disloyal part-timers from the northside of Dublin.

i read a couple of weeks ago that Rangers have signed a young guy from NI that was playing this gealic footbal(i think it was that)
was an article about it in the belfast telegraph
think he will be in the under 19's for Rangers next year instead of this rugby nonsense he was playing

Thats the end of European action for both Linfield and Bangor now i would imagine.
If Rovers manage to get through and are drawn against Rangers i would imagine the match will be switched from Tallaght Stadium to the Aviva.
Every Celtic fan North and South will be supporting the Rovers. They would easily get 25 to 30,000 at the match

Speaking of Rangers v League of Ireland opposition.
Remember a few years ago when Shelbourne raced into a 3-0 lead over Rangers only to run out of steam and eventually lose 5-3!!!
The match had to be played at Tranmere Rvs ground instead of Tolka park as the Gardai feared the Rangers fans travelling over would create the type of havoc not seen in Dublin City centre since the Vikings sailed up the liffey in their longboats!!!
