To me what this "New System" is? Have i missed us playing or a detailed report explaining what the new system will be from BR himself? Just seems a lot of people seem to know what the new system is and what players will or will not fit into it. I am feeling left out anyone care to share?

He'll play the 4-3-3 that he did at Swansea, that's his system, be barely ever deviates from it & that's where I think there's a question mark over him, as he failed to react & change his system / tactics when his opposite number got the better of him at times last season

From what i can make out of BR he comes across of someone wanting to learn and adapt, he bangs on about Spain and how England think you can only defend without the ball etc.
TB im kind of with BR we should play to our own strengths not the oppositions strengths/weaknesses so much, had enough of that under Rafa/KD/Hodgson etc.

That's a fine philosophy mate, but my point was that during games he was sometimes slow to react.
I watched our game at the Liberty last season & it was fascinating, as Moyes realised that Swansea split their CB's when their keeper had the ball & they both went wide to receive the ball with the 2 full backs pushing further up the pitch.
So Moyes just pressed us forward & marked the 2 CB's, blocking the keepers usual outlet, this meant he either had to kick long or the midfield had to drop off to receive the ball, when they did this, Moyes pushed our midfield up to press them & as a result Swansea struggled to have much possesion.
Rodgers never reacted, didn't change it & we won the game at a canter. I remember being surprised that at the lack of nouse shown by Rodgers.

Interesting Toblerone.
Maybe another reason to keep Carroll then!

The subject of Swansea v Everton came up a short while back and so I looked up Rodger's reaction after the game because I didn't like to think it would be easy for teams to just press and win once he has that same style with us. Here's what he said-
"Brendan Rodgers denied these claims that Everton's superior tactics won the game, and believed his team weren't at their best.
'I have heard people talking about how Everton's win was down to tactical astuteness,'
'But I don't think there was any great tactical item which made the difference.
'We went behind to a brilliant free-kick after we had lost their runner to give them the free-kick in the first place — that's nothing to do with tactics.
'The second goal was down to (Marouane) Fellaini turning in the box more easily than he should have done.'
Rodgers said after the game that it was a big lesson learnt for him and his players, and he added:
'What Everton did well against us was that they pressed us for long periods,'
'Throughout this season we have normally broken teams' resilience a little bit sooner, and that's where we must learn from the Everton game.
'Teams have tried to press us like Everton did and we have coped with that, but they are a defensive team — that's why they don't score so many goals.
'Their outlook on the game is defensive, so they are used to the level of game we saw last Saturday and they can sustain that level of game for long periods."
So looks like we may struggle against our blue cousins this season then

He was talking shight, we had 23 attempts at goal that day, that's some number for a side that is 'defensive'
Moyes out thought him & his tactics were spot on. He also rested a few that day as well, for the cup replay on the Weds.

Looks like TB got told
I'll manage a team of lads from the scottish 3rd division and get them playing like Barcelona all because that's my system
its wholly dependant on the players at your disposal.
If it was as easy as writing it down on a piece of paper then winning thngs would be quite easy.
Everytime you comment on a thread you seemingly get dumber

Got told what you daft beaut?
Everyone largely agreed that he he'll use his 'system' at Liverpool, of course the end result will depend on the quality of players.
Another epic fail from the forum dead head.

You explained nothing dickwad, you just made a prize plum of yourself by not reading the thread properly & making a false assumption.

Wrong.
We were discussing the possible system and i said we would only be speculating because it would depend on the players at his disposal.
Your logic would suggest Henderson could play like Iniesta
You then tried to say i'm wrong by asking me to google it or something daft like that.
No stop with the silly name calling and accept that you've been made to look silly by me once again
