A huge game for the teams sitting in 2nd and 4th respectively, a point for Lyon could see them over take PSG even if only for 24hrs 3 pts for Juventus would see them climb to 3rd...

The teams go in after their final warm up to get ready and for LRF and SKA to get any last words of encouragement to the teams..

here we go in what should be a cracker....

1945 Lyon kick off

1948 They go straight for the attack Lamela out to Willian who drives at Jellet, he goes passed him but his cross is too high for Cavani, De Ceglie clears

1951 Again after a few passes at the back Lichtsteiner takes it down the right, he psses to Mertens who cuts inside, but Flamini puts in a timely tackle, the ball falls to Motta, he picks out Gaitan on the left who has plenty room with Lichtsteiner slow in coming back, he cuts in and lays of to hernanes but his shot goes over, a warning to Lyon

1954 Some neat passing sees Juventus come through again, Jallet plays it up to Diego and a quick turn sees him go passed Cissokho, he crosses in and Di Natale somehow gets in front of Benatia and the little strikers diving header just skims the post..

1957 Thats slack by Hernanes, a slow pass across to Gaitan sees Lichtsteiner intercept, he drives down the line and plays a neat one-two with Mertens, this splits the defence and he crosses in Buffon however is quick off his line and comes out to catch before Cavani gets to it..

2000 No team particularly getting to grips with this, however it is a good game, justy on that Inler goes in with a flying tackle on Motta, just as he had passed it out to Diego,Inler comes in very late and catches Motta's trailing leg, looks a sore one, the ref speaks to Inler but his cards stay in his pocket...

2001 Martinez not happy as he lets the ref know, he best keep his trap shut or he will be in the book

2003 That tackle seems to have angered some Juventus players as they seem out to get Inler, Chiellini tries to keep them calm and has a word with Flamini and Martinez in particular as the ball goes out for a Juventus throw.

2006 Juventus come forward again down the right, Jallet to Diego, who plays it inside to Motta, Diego continues his run and Motta finds him on the edge of the box and a quick pass to Natale who turns and shoots but it straight at Lloris who gathers comfortably

2009 it was coming, alot of niggling tackles and it Flamini first in the book, Inler had picked up and passed to Denisov, he took ages on the ball and Flamini quite rightly went for it, was just mistimed and he goes into the book regardless

2012 After a bit of delay to see to Denisov, Godin plays the freekick in to the Juventus box Cavani is their to meet it but his header is very weak and Lloris gathers, he throws quickly to gaitan who drives at Lichtsteiner, he goes passed and into the box, but Benatia is there with a terrific challenge and clears the danger

2015 This is better from both teams now after a few heated moments, Martinez comes out of defence with the ball he goes passed Denisov and Inler and rives on, he plays Hernanes a neat ball, who then plays out to Diego, Diego cross is however met by Godin who headers clear, but straight to Motta who lets rip and it goes just high and wide

2018 This is really end to end now, Lyon come forward this time down the left with Cissokho, he plays it forward to Willian who dances round Jallet, he drives in and to the bye line, his cut back is neat but Martinez is there first and he clears for a corner

2019 GOAL!!

The corner in from Willian is powered home by benatia who is up for the corner, Buffon as good as he is could do nothing to stop that going in...

2023 Juventus drive on looking for a quick equialiser, De Ceglie takes from Buffon plays a few passes between himself and Flamini giving cavani the runaround, a quick pass right through to Hernanes and again he tries from range to no avail

2026 Inler, prob deserved after his first challeng, again a silly challenge when Lyon in no danger, he goes into Flamini stupidly and earns a yellow for his troubles, Flamini did well to walk away from that with out reacting or he could have seen a second yellow

2029 Almost half time and a final chance for Juventus to equalise before the whistle, Diego the creator, he jigs round Cissokho not once but twice, cuts in and this time goes himself, from the corner of the box he shoots at Lloris but he punches clear..

2030 HALFTIME

2045 Juventus kick off the second half

2048 Playing keep ball at the minute, Juventus not in any rush to get forward as of yet..

2051 Without a touch yet Lyon are struggling to get to grips this half, Juventus eventually play an incesive pass, Motta with great vision sees Natale peel away from his marker, his touch is poor but he manages to cut back to Gaitan but his effort is poor, better from Juventus tho

2054 A corner for Juventus after a finger tip save from Lloris after a shot from Motta, gaitan plays it in but Chiellinis header goes over, Lyon had better watch out they are sitting a bit deep

2057 Finally Lyon with a break, Denisov picks up in the centre plays Willian in who has had a bit of joy down the left against Jallet, he goes round him again and to the bye line, he doesnt cross in and beats the on rushing Martinez, he does toomuch tho and one poor touch allows Chiellini to clear the danger

2102 Juventus come again Gaitan and Hernanes this time playing a nice one two to get past Lichtsteiner Gaitan then drives into the box and lays back to hernanes who again tries his luck buit he clearly doesnt hav his shooting boots on today as another one goes flying over

2105 The subs are warming up on the sidelines, Luyon make a quick break and Lamela dances his way round Flamini, he drills a low shot in but Buffon is downm quick to stop them going 2-0 up

2108 End to end again,juventus driveon Jallet this time gets his own back and sticks it through the legs of Willian, he goes down the right, Diego takes Cissokho away leaving Jallet plenty room and time to get the ball in which he does and itrs a terrific cross and hernanes is ther m,aking a late run and his header is good but straight atLloris

Inler!! What was he thinking, a stupid, stupid tackle, he went crashing into Flamini, no excuse for that, that was a terrible tackle and quite rightly he walks off the pitch LRF looks at him in disgust

Immedietly both sides make changes

Gonalons on for Lamela to shore it up and Matri for the misfiring Hernanes as they got 4-4-2

2113 - Juventus go straight on the attack, with the extra man then surely they have a chance, Matri gets his first touch, and its a good one as he lays it off to Natale, his shot however goes just wide of the post. Lyon are at sixes and sevens

2115 Lyon are taking a gamble and going for the winner despite being a man down, going route one now tho, Godin with a high ball up to Cavani, who takes it on his chest turns and follow a poewrful, magnificent shot at Buffon, but the keeper shows he is still truly world class and pulls off a save to match the effort

The corner comes to nothing as Martinez clears..

2117 GOAL!!!!

Lyon played another high ball into the Juventus half, Chiellini met it and with his header it sent Natale through who beat the offside trap, His legs just couldnt carry him right through and he had support in various places, but Flamini was in the best position and he layed ito ff to him, with a few steps and a powerful drive he unleashed anunbelievable shot into the top right hand corner, Lloris was stranded and Flamini runs away celebrating...

Flamini, what are you doing, you have just equalised and you decide to take your shirt off while celebrating, silly second yellow and he takes an early bath..

Both team toplay the last ten mins with ten men

2123 Gonalons and Motta squaring up to each other now when is the football going to start again!!

2124 In all the bedlam Bastos snuck onto the pitch for Diego and he has a go down the left to try and restore this back into a football match, he takes on Lichtsteiner, but this time the big Swiss defender puts in a fantastic challenge to take the ball from him, he plays it forward but hits it too far for Mertens

2127 Not long now, is their a winner from either side? Lyon take a grip of midfield and Denisov plays it wide to Mertens, this time the Belgian takes it passed De Ceglie, fires in alow cross but Buffon is quick and gets their before Cavani has a chance to pull the trigger

2129 Buffon kicks high, into the corner, bastos takes on Lichtsteiner and beats him he crosses in and Matri meets it but his header is very weak and he heads straight to Lloris..

2130 PENALTY!!!

Its gone to Lyon, Lloris tries the same tactic of a long kick, cavani takes it well and lays off to Denisov, he drives into the box and is pulled down by Chiellini, the Ref points to the spot, Cavani places the ball on the spot....

2132 Finally after everyone settles Cavani steps up, this will win the game

ITS SAVED!!!!! Buffon!!!! What a keeper he goes the right way and pushhes the ball away, Martinez punts it well clear and on that that was the final kick and the rf blows his whistle for full time
