Sorry Mr Rat, it would not be contempt for a Tribunal to revisit the racism allegation. I agree they may not want to go near it with a bargepole, but it has a lower standard of proof. That's the difference. There is nothing out of the ordinary in a civil court or tribunal hearing a claim for damages after an acquittal in the criminal court.

This is a high profile case and no matter what anyone thinks, there is a difference between a trial for commoners and high profilers like footballers. They employ the best barristers for starters. If the FA go near the racism issue they, the lawyers will be prepared and take the FA back to the courts.

BTW what would AF seek civil damages for? He was only a witness.

They might well charge JT and AF with bringing the game into disrepute, and most probably will due to public demand.

Agree with this. If they do anything this is what I think that the FA will do. The level of proof on this one is really low.

It's a no brainer for the FA, Summer69. No risk.

Mr Rat, they won't be able to take the FA to court for hearing the case again on their standard of proof. If there is a fault in the way they hear the case or conduct the proceedings, then yes, but not for trying it.

They would have to be extremely careful! The Fa are a regultory body that has no basis in law, only internal football affairs.

Anyway GUNNER I can't concentrate on something that might or not happen. We shall wait and see.

Fair enough Mr Rat.

If the FA try to punish on a racial abuse charge he will successfully sue them.

They can only go the disrepute route. I predict a 3 game ban for Terry maybe more.

Ferdinand will get a 1 match ban
