Slobodan Rajkovic!!

I didnt know until yesterday when i saw his name on the score sheet that slobodan rajkovic was back from his loan at vitesse.

Rajkovic was bought by chelsea in the summer of 2008 and since then has spent his time on loan at various clubs in holland(PSV,Twente, vitesse).

He is a 22 year old center back from serbia, 6"3 and strong in stature ,has played about 70 odd league games in holland and played in the europa league/uefa cup aswell.

Do you think he can do a good job as our 5th choice center back??

I've wanted him to be given a chance since we've been linked with a new CB.

PS sorry for not having para's in my above comment

Anyone who knows me knows I like English players!

I'd honestly rather have someone like Onouha or Richards over Van Der Weil, I don't get the biggun, everyone judging these little players like World Class stars because the media have mentioned them..

I've rated Micah for years but I doubt we'd go/get him cheap, and he isnt worth anything more than 15 pounds but I feel City would ask a lot for him.

But Onouha could be cheap, REALLY impressed me last season at Sunderland and I really reckon top 4 English clubs' problems is that they don't take on English talent at the 20+25 age, and we moan as Englishmen for poor World Cup performances, if we actually gave talent a chance we wouldnt be a poor team internationally...

I've always looked out for Rajkovic too, been compared to Vidic in the way he plays, some say he's actually better than Bruma...We'll have to see this season!

Richards would cost too much. I like Onouha too but City would probably demand around the same price as we could get VDW for. I was hoping our 2nd choice RB would be more of an attacking threat (basically similar to Bosingwa pre-injury). For only 10M VDW would be a great deal IMO.

I to would prefer an English RB, but I agree with CSTP I'd rather it be a more attacking version to contrast with Ivanovic. I think Richards and Onuoha are more attacking than people give them credit for but I SSS what CSTP means. Maybe someone like Walker, Naughton or Clyne would do, but Walker won't get sold, Clyne hasn't developed that fast, and while I wish we took a chance on Naughton ( yes he's in the Championship but so was Walker at the start of last season, and Naughton was actually considered better than Walker and was one of the best RB's in the Championship) you just can't see it happening.

Rajkovic is rubbish. I watched Vitesse as much as I could last season because of the Chelsea players. Matic was ok, Delac never got a sniff and rajkovic has went backwards a mile in the last 2 seasons. he takes up a non home grown space in the squad which we can't afford to waste on someone like him

Is Kalas the best out of all our young CBs at the moment then?

I like Kalas and Chalobah equally. Chalobah will be a star eventually but will probably end up in midfield

Pappoe is good but a bit slow and clumsy. he could become the next Samba, but at the same time could end up like Titus Bramble. ha
