Mahamadou Sakho

Looks like a move for Thiago Silva is freeing up space for the big man to leave. He's a great prospect but I wouldn't want him at Arsenal. His quotes about this whole thing seem quite negative: "If a centre back comes, I'll do everything to leave because I have to think about my future." I mean that isn't very ambitious is it? He's already admitting he is inferior to these players coming in despite being the club captain of PSG.

This does seem the theme of the modern footballer, hideously scared of being even slightly ousted from their comfort zone. A bit of competition here, their club struggling there(RvP) and they haven't got the balls to stand up and fight for what they supposedly do best. It's worrying that there are more Squillacis in the world(people happy to not play and pick up hefty wages) than there are Di Natale's(stick around and help the club you love). Football is moving in a rather miserable direction.

What do they mean by Squillachi (or Chamakh) not been able to move because of his wage demands, does it mean he wants more money or that he does not want a pay decrease?

Isn't he the PSG captain? I think it'd mean he won't be no.1 choice anymore. He's been at PSG for 10yrs.

Surely it will be him and Thiago Silva starting?
