I know that Spurs are ATM feeling excited by the appointment of AVB.
However, if the project goes ti.ts-up can they afford to sack him?
I estimated that the had around £25m to spend this window and that's been gobbled up. If they sell Modric then if their board give this amount to the coach then they might but some serious players but at the moment I can't see them being able to fire the boss.

Won't be half as expensive as it was to us ...... thanks to us

Given the revenue we achieved by sacking AVB we are more than quids in, can not say the same for Spurs though

Biggish, irrelvant point. Could've gained the CL money without that 14mil deficit. As a deal, we'll still lose far more than Spurs would if they sacked him ..... unless you're admitting his presence had a factor in winning the CL?

Cmon let's face it we're obsessed with the spuuds.
Let's give them some pleasure and make out that they have suceeded in a small way.
Don't be so cruel to our London neighbours

I am not sure I am getting you on this......
1. We pay a fortune to secure AVB from Poto and as a result of his failure during his tenure we face the prospect of a huge drop in revenue and an inability to sign players like Hazard because we are not in the CL.
2. We sack him and as a result off sacking him things improve so much that we end up with the biggest revenue season ever.
3. Spurs, who have already lost a fortune in revenue because they failed to qualify for the CL, then hire AVB which immediately releases him from our payroll, thus saving us more money.
Maybe there is some stuff about the terms of sackiñg AVB I am uñaware of, but otherwise that's how i see it

What i'm getting at is we spend 13mil to acquire AVB's services, then sack him after 8 months of work. Then yes, we do secure the 50mil worth of revenue + TV money on the CL progression and ultimate victory. But if AVB had nothing to do with that, then he's still wasted expenditure. Note : i happen to believe the effect he had aided the CL victory (i.e. if RDM comes in immediately after Ancelotti, i personally believe he wins nil). But i'm looking at this from your prospective.
Spurs, however, haven't undertook such a risk. At least financially because they paid no-one compensation for his services. So should he pan out as an outrageous failure (leasts say mid-table and out of both cups for arguments sake) and they sack him. All Spurs lose is time.
The double irony is that 13mil we paid to leverage him away from Porto has essentially funded his transfer to Spurs, so any future success or failure on his behalf there can be credited to us.

Time is very expensive, losing it can prove fatal. Just ask Liverpool FC.
I know you love this paradox theory over AVB, but it is a theory impossible to prove.
If AVB had not come to Chelsea then i doubt RDM would have come, but none of us know who would have come instead or how well or badly they would have done.
We can only deal in facts and the facts state that sacking AVB saved Chelsea last season.

They certainly do. No argument
It can certainly be costly, the loss of time. It can also however pose as an opportunity ...... i.e. us, on several occasions if you act quick enough.
