Reports that a £2.5M deal has been confirmed and is having a medical at Reading and the deal will be completed in the next week.

If you are a Reading Fan, Do you see him as a good signing? Personally, a RB is what we need at this moment in time but whether Mariappa is the right choice is yet to be seen. A great season at Watford last season but there certainly was better options. Also, where else do you think we need to improve? I still think that we could possibly use another CB as cover as we were lucky that Gorkss and Pearce stayed fit for the majority of the season. I also think that another ST is needed as Roberts is aging now and someone a little bit younger could be in place. I was thinking that Charlie Austin might be a good signing for us at around £5M and Defoe has been linked with us as well at £5M so it is yet to be seen who our next ST will be.

If you are a Watford Fan, What are your opinions on Mariappa? Would he start for us? How good is he? Do you think he is Premier League quality? Is £2.5M the right amount for him? Also, do you think now with a new manager in Zola and new owners that you might be able to push for the Play-Offs? You had a pretty poor season until January where it started to pick up a little bit and you ended up in the top half?
