Ferdinand did not physically type the words himself, but if he chose to associate the comment with his own twitter account and distributed it and/or brought it to the attention of his twitter followers, he might as well have written the comment himself. Admittedly he hasnt done that, but out of the presumably millions of comments on twitter, he has selected this one and resdistributed it. That is no different to having written it himself.

For the record, i'm dissapointed with Rio's stance on all this. JT was given a fair trial and found not guilty, that should be good enough. I dont understand all these anti-racism campaigners who are "dissapointed" with the decision. If they are so anti-racism why are they so eager for someone to be found guilty of racial abuse? Are they dissapointed that Anton was not racially abused? It just dosent make sense.

I genuinly do not agree with that.

If he is saying that he is black on the outside but white on the inside, then that must be more racist than terry's comment. The comment has been made solely because of Cole's skin colour, and is designed to be abusive. If that isn't racism then nothing is.

Well first of all, he didnt say it, though he was stupid to respond like he did.

Secondly, I dont know why people expect the FA to punish him. It was an off the pitch incident that had pretty much nothing to to with football. Its not in their hands. And if he is going to be punished in a court of law, then what about the person who made the remark in the first place? Or the hundreds of thousands of similar comments posted all over the internet all day? Are we going to be punish all of them?

I did get it wrong in the original article, but it makes no difference.

If someone wrote me a letter saying that such and such a person was "behaving like a black person", which would be racist, and is essentially what the chocice comment means, and I then wrote on the letter "I hear you....classic.....hahahaha" and photcopied it and sent it to thousands of people (as ferdinand effectively did), then that would be a very serious criminal offence.

Rio is a disgrace for endorsing the Ashley Cole as a "Choc Ice" comment on Twitter.

Absolutely disgraceful and the fact that Rio is trying to now claim he thought that Choc Ice means fake is laughable.

The FA need to take maximum action against Rio for this.
