Odds cut from 4-1 to evens for Rhodes going to Fulham (Skybet). Meanwhile Austin is named as a target for Town on NPower Tweet.
Looks like it's going to happen...??
Rhodes on his way ?

One or two punters on the other forum reckon Town offered him between £23k - £27k/week to stay, but he was still deliberating what to do according to his father Steve.
Personally, I would have preferred him to stay to prove whether he could still score goals in The Championship, although you can't blame him (or Deano) if a Premiership side is prepared to stump up the cash and no doubt pay him more than was on offer at Town.

I would be disappointed if the fee was less than £6m.
and I presume Ipswich have a sell on clause too. ?
Al Faed will pay cash hopefully...he's got plenty, we don't want £3m now, £1m after 30 games plus another £2m if Fulham qualify for EUFA league etc etc...Pay the blooming price now, we don't do 'terms'.!!
Burnley are going to want £2m+ if they know we've got megabucks for Rhodes...but of course it will all be 'undisclosed'....

Im sure his dad and jordan are discussing the wages offered by town to all and sundry....not...

I dont think so... we would be daft to pay it....

i think if he were going he would have gone before pr-season training had begun...and do we need to offer him silly money to stay??...he,s under contract for 3 years yet..we paid hardly owt for him...we dont need the cash...i,d say the balls in deano,s court!

Sell on clause to Ipswich is 10% (Straight from Dean Hoyle). I would be gutted to see him go and as most are saying he should cut his teeth in the Championship as he could well end up on the bench in the premiership. if he does go then I agree we need two strikers as the reality is we have only Novak as a good bet as Lee surely will struggle to play full time in our league.

we had all this when west ham "bought him"...
and when reading bought him twice..
he could still be a "flash in the pan"... a good season with us in this league and he may well become a very hot "property"..
being honest, i saw the matches in which he scored a hat full, so i presume have all the managers of teams supposed to be tracking him... you have to be honest and say the opposition defences were sh-te on those days and if you watch the videos of games when he hasnt scored he was pretty invisible.. the sums talked about so far have been somewhat far fetched..

these sorts of betting markets are very volatile ond £20 can reduce odds masively, he was 4/6 to go to Brighton on monday with afore mentioned betting firm!! He's going nowhere!
