Although he and Madine would get on like a house on fire (boom, tish) and a good player when he's sane, a liability like him is something we could do without, no thanks!!
Hope this is a wind up!!

via yourselves goin up of course
Reg Barton, he'd a a great player to have here but if it wasnt for his backgorund, reputation or history, whichever, id be pretty excited at this signing but the guy is a loose cannon and what with DJ's growing reputation for bringing in and (hopefully) changing the lives of players who have had brushes with the law (Mattock and Ranger good examples) and getting the very best out of them and fullfilling their potential. Hope he knows what he is doing

HMP Hillsborough (open prison).
Sign a few Columbian defenders and we're complete.

Lets not forget Chesterfield's very own Jason Statham in goals (Refering to his rather psycotic character in Mean Machine if anyones seen it)

Before everyone gets thier knickers in a twist, its highly unlikely he will be coming here as his wages are probably way out of our bracket.
Yes, he is unsavoury and gets into trouble at the drop of a hat, but he will be out of the spotlight in the Champ and under less pressure.
DJ has proven he can get the best out of players with issues so there is no reason why he couldn't work for us here and its about time we had someone with a bit of muscle and attitude in the midfield. Take away the disciplinary problems etc and you have an effective footballer who could definately do a job at this level.

Its like ive stated Earls, as a player he is top class, great passer, gets stuck in wholeheartedly, if DJ suceeds in getting him then I hope he is the man to get the best out of him and help him with his anger issues that have plagued him throughout his career, if he behaves and does what is required then great but if he keeps getting sent off or getting into trouble off the pitch then he becomes a liability...also I hope he pairs him with Semedo if he does join, you cannot drop Semedo for Barton after his exploits last season

Ha ha sorry.
looks like Kirkland will be on his way out without kicking a ball.
A waste of time, money and effort. Should have done his homework before he signed.
As mention, no great loss with Bywater and Weaver more than capable at this level.

Thats only a rumour Earls, unless you've got a reliable source

Just seen in the star, yeah seems to be true then sadly, shame as he's a fine keeper but like you said earls, he should have thought about this move first, besides it dosnt make sense, he only lives at merseyside, i think, and thats only an hour and a half away roughly, he's messed us about a bit but luckily we have two good and capable keepers already so I dont see DJ searching for a replacement!
