REASONABLE. NO, it was definitely the Regent and the Curzon. The Regent was on the corner of Queens Drive and East Prescot Rd. I think it is now a Wetherspoons. the Regent was opposite the Library on the R.H. side going into Town and just before the main set of traffic lights. They were both big screen cinemas and they had that special welcoming aroma as you entered the building and which seemed to be constant and unique to all Cinemas at the time i.e. the Mid-Fifties.

Silky I think your maybe a little older than me, I remember when the wetherspoons was called the garfeild. But places change so much, just look at town it seems to change everytime I go

totally agree fella, I remember when I was younger playing man hunt in the museum you wouldn't get away with that now,,, plus I still call the bubble stops the bubble stops and a load of people don't know what I mean
