Last season (and I have heard this from more than one Wolves fan) MM had a falling out with one of his players, Pep, it was so bad that he sent him out on loan, not even putting a recall clause in the deal, so little did he either like or rate that player. Our fans have been either pro or against all of the choices of manager but none of these have had anywhere near universal support. However I have not spoken to, or seen on any posting anywhere, one person who doesn't want Pep back at the club. Possibly MM was being asked to sign a player who he doesn't like or rate, one thing is for sure, I wouldn't expect Pep to be very high on a list of players he would like to sign.
As for the trialists, they would all need work permits before they could even be considered for a contract. However, if they are good enough I'd welcome them with open arms. It wasn't that long ago that many people thought that African players would never cut it in England but Drogba etc haven't done too badly.

If it was a choice between Pep or MM I would go for Pep every time.
From January he was the team's heartbeat.
If he was to return it would be welcomed by the rest of the players and give the place a big lift.

Well put - the drama over interference is laughable. "Only a weak manager would apparently put up with interference of this type" and "MM is too strong a manager to accept this".
Actually these are simply trialists and as you correctly stated they would need WPs!! Why would the an incoming manager be so upset over players being suggested to him? At least MM wouldn't have had the Acquisitions Panel to deal with like BD. Surely this is also interference???? Does that mean that BD was a weak manager?
I think that a strong manager would have taken the job and been determined to do well within these parameters. MM was not for us, move on.

It doesn't necessarily follow that not getting Mccarthy means Guedioura will sign. We may end up with neither.
The sentiment is right though, move on.
