After 35 years of supporting Forest, i am a little bemused by the lack of gratitude towards Mr Doughty & his family in the sale of our club.
first of all the Doughty family invested millions to keep us afloat, and sold for a nominal fee, sounds like they wrote their millions off.
So from me i thank you from the bottom of my heart, my daughter and sons will carry on supporting the reds through thick and thin, largely due to another Forest fanatic that SAVED HIS CLUB
Nigle Doughty & Family

If you are on twitter you will have noticed Lucy Doughty thanking everyone for the kind wishes of thanks......

It has been noticeable that
Men like him nowadays are few and far between
Forest were blessed to have him!

It wasn't just on twitter but as a statement on the Forest site. There's been no lack, that I can see or have felt.

What else can you say except that he saved our club at least twice now.
A true Red.

Well said. It would be difficult to overestimate how much Nigel Doughty did for the club. None of us knew him personally of course, but despite his wealth he seemed very down to earth with a social conscience.
He saved the club when crisis loomed and eventually placed it on a sound financial footing.
Thank you Nigel and the Doughty family.

Nigel Doughty received praise and thanks on this board months after he died, and more recently too.
