Would you Chelsea fans accept a 10mill bid + Luka for Torres?
After all Torres has been a expensive flop, 1 goal in 22 games is it??
As a Spurs fan I would gladly take this deal, I think Torres would suit Spurs style and flourish again.
Obviously this is hypothetical and will never happen.
Thoughts?
Modric - Torres

Yes, TBH, I think Modric would improve us more than Torres.

We'll loan you him for 6 months for Modric, sounds about fair I think. Hopefully that will earn you the europa league placement another year running as well.

I would accept a straight swap: Luka for Torres

And who would score from Modric's defence splitiing passes?

Onlyoneleft - Modric isn;t about defence splitting passes. he is about dictating the tempo of play and keeping the side moving forward. 5 assists in 2 seasons tells you that. Modric is exactly the type of player Chelsea need.
If they swapped the 2 they could spend they money that they would have spent on Modric on Falcao instead. win win.

I';d rather we got Mata. Cheaper, Winger.

npe. we need at least 1 central midfielder. we are extremely weak in the middle of the park, especially with the Essien injury. Ofcourse we need wide attackers as well but a central midfielder is a must

Luka plus 12m for torres. Torres sells a lot more shirts than the rat leaving the sinking spurs

I agree with npe. I think we need width more than a central midfielder and Mata would be an excellent choice, especially for 20mil. I think saying chelsea are weak in central mid is a little inaccurate, in fact I rate our midfield as the best in the epl. Modric is overpriced for someone that has just a little over one good season for spurs. Better options out there for the money

Our midfield was shocking last season.
It just turns out that other PL midfields aren't great. Next year we need AT LEAST one new midfielder (preferably 2: one creative, one for Essien's position), along with at least 1 new winger, which we severely lacked last season as well.
