Squad players

Ok so there has been a lot of talk about Arsenal getting rid of the 'dead wood' at the club and quite a few names have been included in that description, some fairly and some less so.

There has been so much talk on forums and in the media about certain squad players leaving I almost found it strange seeing those players out training with the rest of the squad in Malaysia.

Everyone seems to be united in the idea that Denilson and Squillaci should be sold. Then there those that would like to see Vela, Traore, Rosicky and Diaby join them.

It is almost certain that not all these players will go in the one transfer window and some are rated quite highly by the manager as well, so my question is who do you think is likely to join Almunia and Bendtner with a move away from the club and who deserves another season with the club?

I don't want Diaby to leave, or Traore if he's not going to buy another LB. Rosicky and Denny can, unfortunately, go though.

Also keep Squillaci and Vela

Wages is a massive problem in offloading these players. Denilson for example is on 55k a week, which is inasane and a big error on the clubs part in offering such a contract. No club will match those wages for such an average player.

I'd like to see Squillaci moved on, awful buy and looked woeful last season. Denilson of course, I'd shift Vela out the back door and as much as I like Rosicky, he's another player that seemingly does not cut it anymore and he's on big money!

So far not one dead plank has left instead we got rid of a first teamer and thats it.

Wenger is too scared to get rid of them or maybe they are too scared to leave, like a new hatchling about to take its first flight into the big bad world.

I would be very unhappy to see Diaby leave. On his day he is a top player.

Rosicky for me is borderline. We can't justify his pay packet with what he produces on the pitch.

I would love to see Denilson, Eboue, Almunia, Bendtner, Traore all leave. A few of the youth players can step up next season.

Squillaci, denilson, bendtner and almunia are the most likely to leave. Dortmund stated bendtner was too expensive which is a slight worry, I think we may see most of these players leave at the end of the window.

Of the most mooted names I'd like to see Diaby, Rosicky and one of Vela or Bendtner stay (or if we get at least one new striker in - I don't count Gervinho as a striker really - then they could both be let go). All the above are good players on their day at least, and are definitely useful players to have in the squad. However wage cuts should be in order for Rosicky especially as there can be no denying he's not the same calibre of player he was when he signed whatever contract he's on.

Many people are calling for Squillaci's head, and I wouldn't be too sad to see him leave but I wouldn't mind either if he stayed - for a 4th choice centre back he's not bad, provided Vermaelen et al stay fit. If we bring in Samba or Cahill though he should go so that Bartley and Miquel aren't pushed even further down the pecking order.

Almunia can go as far as I'm concerned - Fabianski and Szczesny are both better than him and I don't think he's got much on Mannone either. The same goes for Denilson; Ramsey and Wilshere are way ahead of him and he also doesn't look to fit too well into our formation at present either.

As far as I'm concerned the jury is still out on Eboue - while it's obvious he'll not be guaranteed a starting place any time soon he's a useful player to have, and more than that he's supposedly good for the dressing room. With the arrival of Jenkinson and Gervinho he's got more competition for both right back and right wing but still he might be worth keeping around.

Why does everyone still want Rosicky here? He is not squad player, he brings nothing to the team. Get rid!

Personally I would like to see how Traore has come on since his loan.

Vela and Denilson I wouldn't mind being given one last season to make an impact or leave. Denilson less so, but as a squad player he is not as bad as people make out

I have always liked Rosicky but I don't think he offers us much anymore and he is keeping our younger prospects out of the squad.

I have a very bad feeling that Squillaci will be given a second chance If he stayed on as backup to the backup then ok but hearing Wenger talk about Vermaelen under the tern 'new signing' makes me think he won't be signing another defender and Squillaci will stay.

in my opinion (which means nothing)

whether I want them to our not:

Out: Almunia, Bendtner

maybe out: Fabregas and Nasri

think AW will keep the rest as he wont be making loads of signings.

Idealy for me (IMO)

out: Almunia, Bendtner, Denilson, Diaby, Squallachi, Nasri

but cant see AW losing 6 players in one window....
