Former Owls winger Etienne Esajas has joined Paolo Di Canio’s League Two Swindon Town on trial. The Dutchman made 60 appearances in his three-year spell at Hillsborough.
Always seemed to show promise, but to then fizzle out.
I really thought he would be a world beater, but what do you guys think?
I know Consilio et Animis, will put his stupid two penneth worth in.

Yes, leave us to our pointless squabbling

EE could take a mean free kick but he is lazy, injury prone and has a reputation for being trouble on the training ground.

Really madsteve, I hadn't heard about the training ground stuff, do tell!

it seems after he broke his toe playing for you against Wolves

As far as I'm aware no-one knows what was wrong with it.
Not sure if he's injury prone so much as a faker.
He's got technical ability, maybe even good enough for prem(!) but his attitude & work/team ethic are appalling.
Can see Paulo losing it and sparking him to be quite honest.

His technical ability good enough for the Premier League?
Have you been drinking?

Point about the prem is you have to have the technical ability, the fitness levels, the pace, the vision, the motivation AND the workrate.
EE just had the technical ability and none of the rest.

Maybe he'll be another of those players we couldn't force the right attitude into, let go and they blossom for someone else and start looking brilliant.
Don't get your hopes up too high though Swindon fans because as many if not more who've left like that have disappeared slowly down the leagues and vanished almost without a trace (save for wikipaedia!)

If Di Canio built him up like colin did with trabatt (sp?) and let him have a free role alongside a very fit midfield enforcer he could do a job for Swindon.

Esajas, stated in a local Swindon paper he thought he was having a great game v Wolves before he was replaced at half time after breaking his toe. Paolo is desperate not to fail in his first managerial roll and has sent a couple of rated trialist on their way because of lack of fitness and bad attitudes. Leon Knight only lasted 2 days before Paolo caught on to the fact he was only there for a free ride. Esajas also said he was fit and ready but Di Canio only gave him half hour in last nights friendly in Italy and then said he has two weeks of hard training to catch up on ! Thanks for your opinions on EE. Just need info on the other 7 players we have signed but know little about ! All the best.

Absolutely. I don't think that consilo knows what technical ability is!
