Every Saturday evening on talk sport radio there is a show dedicated to Rugby Union, they don’t have an RL show but credit to the station they do talk RL and feature all the scores/news regularly. Last Saturday they did an piece on the Greatest British Rugby player ever after Austin Healey claimed that Jason Robinson is the best ever British player. The pundits discussed Martin Johnson and Jonny Wilkinson and touched on the Underwoods (are any of these really the best RU players EVER from the UK?????) but they got round to discussing Robinson and Andy Farrell and nearly agreed that both are high on the RU list as greats, not just for their RU exploits but in RL as well. This got me thinking, surely neither of these would feature in the top ten RL Greatest UK players, so how can they be classed as RU greats? Neither was fit to lace Hanleys boots (for example) in my opinion. Would be interested to hear from dual code watchers as well as RU/RL folk on whether Robinson was that great etc

We all have our favourites from different era's and the true answer to who was/is the best will never be truly known so we can only go by opinions.
All the above mentioed players would show the players of today a thing or two and put them back in there place.....

this clown mc-2 comes on here every few days and simply shows us the intelligence it takes to be a union boof-head...... tell me are they all like him or what. I only know of 2 union supporters here in OZ and they are a bit thick come to think of it.

There is a real irony in his name too, suggestive of great intelligence as opposed to his moronic anti league drivel, the warblings of a deranged half wit

Sorry, but the words intelligence and rugby league are mutually exclusive.
And just in case you don't know what that means -
What Does Mutually Exclusive Mean?
A statistical term used to describe a situation where the occurrence of one event is not influenced or caused by another event. In addition, it is impossible for mutually exclusive events to occur at the same time.
Hope that helps you.
Actually RL suits Australia. I see they're very quickly catching up to the US on morbid obesity.

And to further the hypothesis of the intelligence of people like atkinsongrimshaw, Talksport is listened to by 3,248,000 people.

I think you're confusing the terms" mutually exclusive" and "causal relationship". There is a body of empirical research which points to a strong causal relationship between Rugby League and High Intelligence. If you read Darwins Theory of Evolution you will see that Rugby League players got up from the mud and played a game which wasn't based around wallowing in the swamp.

Poor old mc-2 is lonely the poor sod, the union board has only had 5 articles since the 6th July..........goes to show the interest in the kick-n-clap rubbish doesn't it.........welcome aboard mc-2 but you will need to go to night classes to lift your game if you want to be a regular now.......

Blinkered one - what do you think about RU considering a thick northern convert being the GREATEST player ever???
