So Mick McCarthy doesn't want the job, disappointing yes, but not the end of the world. Gunts has gone, disappointing yes, but he was never going to turn down Premiership football.
Up until last week we didn't even have an owner, it takes time to get in the right man for the job, how many companies interview just one person and then give him the job - none.
It would have been nice to have everything sorted by now but from what the sponsors said there were at least three parties interested in buying us and the sellers did not just accept the first offer but looked into all of them and picked the best. Come the opening game I am confident we will put out a good team - we may not have Harry Redknapp in charge and a front three of Rooney, Ronaldo and Messi but we will have a competative team.
Why are we all panicing

I'm not panicking, I'm looking forward to seeing who our new manager will be, and there's still plenty of time before next season for him to rebuild a team.

open your eyes flower, the two people who Al-Hasawi thought were right for the job have ruled themselves out. McCarthy who was deemed as there number 1 target had deep discussions and in the end didnt want it.

the panic may be arising from the fact that we will almost certainly starting the new season woefully underprepared, much more so than last season in fact and last season was a shambles that almost got us relegated.
arab millions are of limited usefulness when you're in league one and as things stand, we can only be considered red hot favourites for the drop as of 13:55 on july 18th

Because the season starts in 4 weeks time and unless something very (very) dramatic happens very quickly, any Reds supporter turning up at the first game of the season who brings their boots and who hasn't had a couple of jars the night before will be offered the chance of a game - because we don't have any freckin' players!!!!
