Favourite Pundits that used to play for

the enemy. Damn title thingy doesnt have enough room for all of it.

Anyway.

Thats it. There is countless amounts of football coverage, compared with yesteryear and with that additional coverage comes additional pundits that are made up almost entirely of ex pro's with the odd presenter not from a football background thrown in to the mix as well. We all have our likes and dislikes, often influenced as much by who they played for as what they say.

But which ones do you find speak enough sense or are entertaining enough to allow you to see beyond their previous playing allegiance and that you actually like listening to?

I'll go first.

Gary Pallister - I think he speaks a great deal of sense. He doesnt get too caught up in silly transfer talk and praises a player on merit of their performance on the day as opposed to their reputation, and he seems like a decent bloke as well. What makes his ability to come across as a nice chap is made all the more impressive when you remember he was a Man Utd player for nearly 10 years and none of it rubbed off on his personality.

I like that Ray Wilkins fella. He isn't biased and doesn't talk out of his backside like Jamie Redknapp.

Over here in the States we get Steve McManaman, and he is very good indeed.

He openly admits before a United gamme his Liverpool bias, but once the game kicks off, he is actualy very impartial.

He calls the game as he sees it, WHICH, AS i am sure you will agree, is not always the case.

The good thing about Gary Pallister is that you hardly ever hear him.

It does, it shows that I know Carragher is a current player, not a pundit.
