You've gotta love the drama of it all

To be honest, this close-season has been dire while we've waited for news of a takeover. No signings imminent, players coming to the end of contracts, the occasional story on the EP about Forest need to move quickly blah blah.

Since the Al-Hasawi's have rocked into town it has certainly been a roller coaster and it looks like this is just the beginning. Despite the rumours and concerns, despite the fact that I was suckered in by some Twitter twit, I am already enjoying life as a Forest fan more than I have for a while.

A recap:

Fergie is tapped up
Not by us Guv

Cotterill staying
Cotterill sacked

Redknapp's not interested

Defo Mick
Mick's not interested - wasn't even interviewed (yeah he was...no he wasn't...it's the end of the world arrrghhhhh)

Is it Hoddle?
Strachan?
Ince wants a go
Keano is interested
WE WANT BILLY BRIGADE toot toot

Defo Fergie
Fergie's not interested

Definitely Hoddle
Sean O'D is in with a shout

Wait Redknapp is having an interview... I thought he wasn't interested??

You couldn't make this stuff up...

Ps. sorry if I've missed anyone
Pps. that isn't even counting the signings/non-signings/trialists/sold players...

I need a lie down.

Lovin' the recap

Drama is one thing but it is starting to get very serious. We do not have a manager. We do not have a football team (well certainly not a defence). The new season is four weeks away. That is not the sort of drama I was banking on to be honest.

It is worrying but hopefully we'll have a manager this time next week. That won't give enough time to build a promotion winning team but hopefully we'll have enough players to stay up at least.

Nice article. I am looking forward to the new season despite the dramas created by the media and the twits. Hope we hire a manager that plays nice football and gets us winning games.

Good stuff prof.

And to think, whatever happens, the 'fun' has barely started!

It was never going to be an ideal scenario for a new manager coming in without a full preseason, but I do think the fam are doing things the right way.

I know it looks bad at the moment but I am sure the new manager will be able to move quickly to sign players. Let's just hope they get in some quality and they can gel quickly.
