The guy gets a lot of stick, but he was once a great manager - he won the Italian league and the UEFA cup, as well as a load of other trophies. He wouldn't be my choice as manager, but he might still have one more success story left in him for some team.

I liked sven a lot as England manager. wouldn't object to him, but not in my top three choices.

Personnally I think he was one of the best England managers we have had did well in all qualifiers, always got out the group stages in the major tournaments but then the team not the manager always came up short, since his time with England I don't think he has done a good job anywhere!

He wasted so much money a Leicester and the team never improved or looked like improving. I would rather have Pearson over Sven but you never know like Al said he may have one more good job left in him!

I'm of the view also that Sven would do a good job, we were in a higher position in the league when he got sacked not given enough time for the team to gel.
We were very hit and miss last season beat Southampton home and away yet lost to Bristol C twice.
My advice is go with it with your new owners but don't second guess what they plan to do.
FFP means they can only put 6m a season of there own money into the club.
The fact they have said its a 4-5 year plan says to me they won't be chucking quite as much money about as I'm hearing but that will be a good thing for your club.

Our owners were stupid enough to appoint him, if yours don't learn from their mistake then they're even more thick.

If Forests new owners want somebody to piddle away all of their money, Sven is the man.
