Your paper has got it wrong, Sven is still interested in Maynard, most Leicester fans now want us to move on as well to be fair.
but he seems very persistent, which says to me he thinks he has a good chance of getting him

Listening to Nickys interview following the Charlton game he is still recovering from his injury apparently was told at the time of his surgery it would be 18 months before he would be fully recovered.
Now after how well he played at the end of last season just how good is he going to be when he is fully fit?
He said he couldn't do back to back training sessions yet which is probably why he wasn't caught on camera when those pics were taken a few days ago.
So can we look forward to a NM getting better and better during the season? Only time will tell.

" NM getting better and better during the season?"

Yep, he'll be pinging them in for Leicester - he'll probably get a brace against his old club at Ashton Gate too.

Way to go, Nicky.

He is waiting for a prem club to approach him. He is unlikely to opt for a sideways move to an NPC club (although it is possible).

Can't see where this blinkered obsession that "Maynard is just biding his time before joining a Premiership club" comes from.

Fact is, he has a pretty decent record for a Championship striker and at the lower levels but £5m for a player with a year to run on his contract who is crocked ?!!

We let Matty Fryatt leave for £1.2m. Not dissimilar scoring records but who the more discerning supporters could see was not quite good enough for the next level. But considerably less risky than a player who has had knee surgery.

You are welcome to him. At that price it has got disaster written all over it.

Thank you prawnsandwich we hope your manager sees it that way as well, ps it's not a blinkered obsession it is a quote from the player himself, He is happy here but wants to play in the Premiership.
