Our man in charge

In my opinion, an absolutely fantastic appointment by all concerned in it. No ridiculous names, but instead a man with a proven track record of achieving success with his previous clubs, has huge talent for spotting talent, loved by the dressing room, a proper gent, highly respected by Forest fans( even before this news broke, lots of us were dismayed he had left ). Well, this is inspired, in the same way as Martinez/ McDermot/Lambert were. We have money to spend, and I think this man will be able to use this to the maximum effect.
Stability, maturity and experience. I'm really looking forward to the next couple of years and predict a bright future.

Makes me laugh? all these Rams and Fester fans commenting on a man they know nothing about,i know for a fact,if he'd have had any kind of budget to work with other than the pittance he got at Donny,it would be him and not Martinez,Atkin or Rogers managing in the prem

It'd be interesting to know what the exact remit of the Forest DoF will be, in terms of Manager influence...

Original Red....I thought I'd throw him a curve ball. Sometime's being nice just freaks them out!

I'm delighted with the appointment of SOD, but there is a caveat people need to consider:

Some managers are very good at running a club on a shoe string. It can be a very different business managing a team of expensive players who think they have made it because they command a big transfer fee. I'm not sure I would want to be spending £20 million (which is a suggested war chest figure) straight away. I think for four or five million we could get a decent back four and Pep which would be a good start; then maybe have another spend in January if we are close to the play-offs.

Direby fans who are laughing now will have nothing to grin about this time next week when we have begun to rebuild our squad with quality players whilst they are wheeling and dealing in the third division.

Just let them have their week or two of fun Garibaldi, that's all they've got to look forward to this season

Actually I'm quite disappointed that Forest made a sensible appointment. Would much have preferred to see them waste money on Sven, Hoddle or 'Arry. Cannot understand why Sean Dyche was overlooked. Available, hungry, something to prove and did a reasonable job at Watford last season.

Ilkeston Spanner - what is funny? He is pretty likely to be better than any of the strikers in your squad. and why do you spend time going on our official site you massive gimp? I would never want to even type your web adress. YOU ARE OBSESSED.
