Right, probably too hard to judge as the signings haven't been completed and we haven't even had a look at the boys in pre season yet, but I'm bored so here goes.
Not "Where do you think we might finish", not "Where will you be happy finishing" but my question is:
Where WILL we finish in your opinion?
I personally think we'll get second, have a good season overall untill late March/April where we lose the title but just gain automatics. Gut feeling.
I'm usually negative when it comes to Dons (Those of you with brilliant memories will remember I predicted a midtable/relegation battle next year IE 'doing a Swindon' as we lost Leven and Sean O'Hanlon, hilarious now, I know!) predictions, and never usually like to predict outright scoreline results or finishes in the table, but I'm confident for the season so why not?
Overall my top 6 are:
1- Sheffield United
2- MK Dons
3- Preston
4- Bournemouth
5- Swindon
6- Doncaster
The season!

I am a bit pessermistic at the moment, none of the signings have fired me up, not sure what Wrighty and Mick will bring to the party.
I am worried more teams will have realised how to play MK Dons and the team was very redictable last year - good football and good skills but against the better defences did struggle.
My heart says fight for the automatic places, my head says they will fight for the playoffs.

To be honest I don't go with this idea that we will walk this league. A sure fire way to fail if any of the players or management believe that.
I also understand we scored more goals last season than ever but that was because Sammy was on fire at the start of the season, MacDonald got a few before he dried up and we thumped a few teams as well.
I am looking to see how the strikers perform before fully committing myself, but saying that I will go for the following:
Sheffield Utd
Coventry
MK Dons
Preston
Doncaster
Swindon

Bit disappointed that Karl seems to be indicating he won't be taking all 3 trialists on even though they have all been brilliant. If he can only take two, I hope its the young guy and one of the older ones.

No disrespect to Deon Burton but he has had his time in the sun and I would prefer the other two unless he is head and shoulders above them.
I wonder what happened to all these Rangers players who were leaving the club. I would have thought that Alex Rae could have bagged one of them.

Links to a club means nothing, as proven, Robinson has hardley bought or borrowed any Liverpool or Blackburn players despite having been there and having apparent links..
I'm not a fan of Derek Riordan, horrible bloke but tbh I'd rather have him over Burton who's about as old as time and will do us no good in the long term. Though I have a sneaky feeling Robinson will take him on in oppose to Juanfri who could be something better, simply because of his age, and he has international experience and we all know Robinson will probably expect him to dominate the League because of that! I reckon Juanfri could be a missed oppertunity should we not sign him on

I agree, if he can only take two he should drop Burton.
Juanfri would be building for the future, I will be very disappointed if Robbo lets him go.
If Robbo signs him, he could always keep the other two on a Pay per Play basis - Burton wouldn't play on TTuesdays because its pension day so that would be a saving

what will we do this coming season?
Well I think its probably our best chance at an auto spot - as I think we will be stronger (not lost any of the current squad and should have added at least 2 more to those already singned) and actually (dangerous statement) the teams overall around us weaker compared to last season.
I dont think the Blades will be the same force as last year (they have cut back) - I dont really see any of those coming down to be such a threat as were the Blades last year.
So my guess is the three battling for the autos will be ourselves, Swindon and Preston.
Carlisle and Brentford will batlle the playoffs plus Blades.
For us, we will have added pressure this season as I think we will be labelled by all as one of the favourites for an auto place

I have to disagree with your their as Robbo has bought or attempted to buy his old Liverpool youth team, while Rae has links with Scotland, where we have bought or been linked with players.
I'm not sure where the Irish connection is though, did Winkle have an Irish descendant?

Irish people are lucky Then again, a bit of a contradiction considering how unlucky we've been over the past two years :S
But still, I beg to differ Furz, since Robbo's been here we've had David Amoo being the only signing directly from Liverpool, and Robert Hall from West Ham from his mate Fat Sam...Neither played much..

Darren Potter and Jon Otsemobor are ex Liverpool youth, while there were rumours we were after Neil Mellor and Zak Whitbread, both ex Liverpool youth.
Not that I'm against it. It seems a sensible policy.
