What must Cotteril be thinking

So SOD comes back a few months after wanting to be his own man at Crawley.

SC could not persuade him to stay despite being good friends.

SOD returns after recommendation from Frank Clarke and the players.

Reading between the lies the players and frank clarke must believe SOD was responsible for the Forest revival at the end of last season.
In addition SOD did not want to work with SC and let him take the credit.

If I were SC , I would feel stabbed in the back as no body then wanted him back ?

SC must be thinking, I was given an opportunity at Forest that I didn't take.

If he'd have done a decent job we wouldn't have sacked him, simple as that.

He'll have made 500/750k for 9 months bad work. He's done alright out of it. And he'll get another job before the seasons finished. I don't feel sorry for him in the slightest.

He'll be alright.

His next job could well be at Derby come December

Now you're just being ridiculous.

He's managed at far too high a level for us.

The players are obviously keen to point out what they think of SoD, and if they think so highly of him after his short stint at the club, then fair enough, the right decision was made in the end.

I still think SC would have done ok though given financial backing ....... but then again, if the rumours are true that SoD was responsible for bringing Gueds in last Jan, then maybe he is due the credit .... not sure tbh, guess it depends on the truth, which none of us are likely to ever know!

Hopefully SC will find another job quickly .. I liked the bloke, and hopefully his next club will back him financially and he can hopefully prove his doubters wrong!

just a thought... imagine SOD had replaced SC at Christmas. Do you think the new owners would have still sacked the manager (SOD) as they wanted their man in.

I think their plan was to make a stantement with the new manger, and they would have sacked SOD.

Well I doubt that would have happened. But arguably, as far as the fans know, we are in the same possition as last year with regards to the manager. As SOD and SC were here after christmas, and as fans, we dont know who the improvment was down to.

I personally think that SC did a brillaint job to get the loan signings, and it was a good move to bring SOD to help out. Overall credit has to go to SC IMO.
