Stevie stop being clueless, and look at these signings at an individual level and you will see they are a good bit of business. 2 back up players and 2 first team lads, all in one hour - cant complain.

Austin I agree could be useful. Ashdown is better than Rachubka. Varney is not a positive signing.

I'm surprised at the calibre of the signings given that a takeover is supposedly happening in the not too distant future.

Don't let me ruin it though for those who believe. The acid test will be, as NW himself said, Snodgrass signing a new contract and committing to Leeds United for the forseeable future.

If he does then all will be well. However, if he and McCormack follow Clayton out of the door won't you be slightly concerned?

White in principle is a good sign but he was one I'd have been happy to ditch. Lots of running but no end result and Warnock seems intent on playing him out of position.

Gray replaces Paynter. Paynter got 2 goals but Gray got 8. He wont be near the starting 11 so he is a good option when injuries set in. Warnock enjoys hoarding strikers anyway. Varney is better than Lloyd Sam, Aidan White (as a winger) so that position has been improved. He also has a bit of pace which we need badly.

Doppler, I agree that Gray is an improvement on Paynter, but while you compared Varney with Sam/White, they shouldn't have even been near that LW spot as it was only available due to the sale of Max Gradel. So unless Varney has come to sit on the bench and Gradel's replacement is on his way, we haven't really improved in that specific area. Good signing for our level though.
