Wenger pls....

do not veto any sale of RVP to United, City or even Chelsea

I dont care how much we lose in cash if hes sold to Juve or Real, but i do believe the club will lose much more if we basically gave our closest rivals the ammunition to increase the gap between us & them.

They have so far recruited wisely & much better than we have, lets not continue to be a laughing stock club by selling our only world class player to them.

Sorry Bastin, but you're dreaming.

Podolski was bought because he was £10M, not because he was the best available.

Giroud was bought because he had a buyout of £12M, not because he was the best available.

These two Players would not have been considered by either of the manc clubs, because they are simply not good enough.

They are borderline top 4

And perfectly reflect the limited ambition of AFC

How can you say that considering both players stats last season? Not to mention Pods international record.

These players are not considered by either manc clubs or chelsea because neither teams are any good at talent spotting. They're clubs built on putting down bids for established expensive players. We simply cannot compete with this model.

Guys its not nice to expose your ignorance in such a pathetic manner

Even a child knows what veto means....veto means A vote that blocks a decision

In this context, i figured wenger has some considerable power given his years & achievemts for the club....he should be in a position to give some sort of agreement to the sale of a player & the destination hes going to.

lawrento, in the article you've stated:

"Wenger pls....do not veto any sale of RVP to United, City or even Chelsea"

This implies you saying Wenger shouldn't block a Pancy moving to those clubs.

Podolski scored 18 goals in all comps and his side were relegated.

I think the point that many make is while the recent additions to the squad are welcome, we will never be in a position to compete for the best players if there is interest from any of the European elite.

This has been acknowledged by Gazidis, KSE and AW.

So the question remains. Why didn’t we just stay at Highbury, as the Emirates was sold to fans on the premise that it would allow the club to compete with the elite.

I get that, and Wenger does do a good job with what he's given. Was merely questioning the stats of both players being the reason they were bought. Giroud yes, Podolski no.

< International Football is nowhere near the standard of the Premier League, neither, is the Bundesliga. Podolski is your latest Eduardo, plenty of attributes to succeed elsewhere, but far too slow.

As for not being able to compete. Complete Balls.

£3M revenue a game, London location and several £Multi-Billionaire Owners.

AFC CHOOOSE not to compete.
