Has anyone actually been on the UOL website and checked the news.. This Wagner report came a couple of hours after this report I'm about to copy and paste... Makes sense for such an angry response from the agent as it seems this story fuels the fire. ... The novel Lucas continues. Target of Manchester United of England, the young star of the Brazilian team said that is not yet settled with the English club.
The information is the coach of Sao Paulo, Ney Franco, which revealed a recent conversation with the player by phone. "I called him and heard that is not negotiated. I really hope that stay here, because it will be an important technical, "said the coach in an interview to TV Bandeirantes. On the other hand, the coach admits that trading with the English club seems to be the next to be completed. "Yesterday [Sunday] I had contact before and after the game with the Juvenal, I traveled with him, and he said that is not negotiated.
But it is a negotiation in which the values are too high. Internally it seems that [the deal] was done. Is a very high value. If negotiated will have a lot of great feedback for the São Paulo, "added Ney Franco. Coach Tariq does not conceal the desire to stay with Lucas in the squad, but already admits losing the player and passes the ball to the Board. "He [Lucas] not be here is complicated to talk. But also do not want to intrude in this business.
The values are unaffordable and is with the Board. Technically, it would be very comfortable he stay, but can't be irresponsible to reach and talk that the Player cannot leave, "he added. Lucas currently blow for the São Paulo with the Brazil national football team training to compete in the Olympic Games in London.

I'm honestly at my witsend with this deal. reports flying left right and center suggesting we are close then we are far then its on track then MUFC are leaving... shish!!!
I really hope the agent's words arent true because I wanna see lucas at OT next season. I guess now we have to wait on the word from the United delegation to see what is the truth. The coach's words or the Agent's, but im starting to loose faith

Fergie wouldn't have talked about it yesterday if the deal was dead like the agent says.

Personally i don't believe any transfer hype until i see the player standing with SAF at OT or Carrington, holding a United shirt with the players name and number on it. There's so much gossip and speculation it's not worth getting excited about until a deal is rubber stamped in my opinion.

I read somewhere yesterday that the Brazilian transfer window's already shut, so part of the problem might be that they can't spend the money on new players (which I'm sure they'd love to).
The alternative story is that come August, he gets 30% of any transfer fee, and only 20% before that, so if Sao Paulo are going to to sell him they want to be getting their skates on.
My gut feeling is that there's a deal to be done, the Mirror et al are just making up whatever they like and the agent's just trying to muddy the picture for more cash so no one knows what's going on. Massive risk though, wouldn't you say?
