...at our first home game of the season: 'Please welcome..BLACKBURN ROVERS!!'
KEAN OUT
KEAN OUT
KEAN OUT
Wash, rinse, repeat for the rest of the season.
Will this be the case, or will people try and get behind the team more for the sake of our performances? Difficult one soon as Kean does need to be 'out' but it would be a depressing atmosphere to be part of for another year.
So how is it going to work...

I agree that it is a bit of a lose lose situation.
For all the grief we received from the meeja and fellow Scottish managers, at least we weren't the gloryhunters of United and Arsenal (the latter booing their manager for a substitution).
For me, as said on the thread below, a few victories would simply be papering over the cracks. What to do, sing and cheer a couple of wins and then boo when we get a bad result?
No!
That's not support - that's bull...
I'm all for consistency. We boo him because he's a criminal, a liar, an abuser of our club and its fans. Get behind Rovers and give Kean hell every minute of every day!

If getting behind the team had any impact on our performances, I might be inclined to share your attitude. But last season proved it makes no difference whatsoever against chronic management and invisible leadership.
Chant Kean out, get behind the players, spend 90 minutes of every game singing tributes to Paul the world cup octopus, it will make no difference to anything what the fans do, except maybe to themselves.

Support the team, boo the manager?

Whatever happens Rovers fans lose. If we cheer because we win a few games, then we will be 'fair-weather' fans and a disgrace for not wanting Kean at our club. If we lose and chant 'Kean Out', then we are still not giving Kean a chance. If we chant 'Kean Out' from the start and lose, same applies. If we are winning and chant 'Kean Out' then we a disgrace as well. Kean is with us now, and the fans are in a position where whatever we do, we will look bad. I say each to their own, think we have a long hard season ahead and with Kean at the helm I am not so confident of a quick return. Shame. Was the perfect opportunity for the owners to get rid of him when we went down, they bottled it however...

RenHen is quite right above. Damned if we do, damned if we don't. I will never sing Kean's name, will always want him gone, but in wanting my team to do well and win matches I will therefore inadvertently support him and his efforts!
Wanting the team to lose to weaken Kean's position is alien to all that my support for the club has ever stood for. I have never, ever wanted us to lose and cannot wish for that.
I don't know how this mess gets resolved, but ridding the club of the odious buffon in charge would at least let us see the woods from the trees and give us a starting point from which to progress again.
Like many I just want to be proud of the club again, but that seems a very long way away at this time and my fear is that thousands of long-standing fans will be so badly alienated they may never return.

Agree 100% OOJW with your whole post, but the bit I have quoted ring so true with me. That is the sad thing, I feel disconnected from the club now, and I could never believe that would happen 3 or 4 years ago.
How we still have Kean is beyond me, the owners truly seem clueless, and if we dont go up this year, then financially with the new signings and how high I imagine their wages will be, I think we will be in even more trouble than now. This is worrying me a lot at the mo and it is not good, especially Kean in charge.
