villa 1-1 newcastle
gotze
nasri
villa picked up a point against a tough newcastle united side at villa park today. the home side have a good attack and they got the lead thru gotze as he raced past his marker to smash home the 1st goal of the game. newcastle's front 4 have enough about them to terrorize any defence and they got an equaliser very late on thru nasri.
livpool 1-1 everton
ribery
silva
two very strong and evenly matched teams faced off at Anfield and had to settle for a point in the end. ribery troubled abidal with his pace and he got the goal for his liverpool side. the everton attack is phenomenal and they got a deserved equaliser thru david silva's low shot.
united 0-1 arsenal
iniesta
arsenal got the better of united at old trafford as they exploited manutd's weak left side of the defence time and again during the match. it was pedro's ball in for iniesta, who made a late run in the box and beat the utd goalie. united tried to get back in the game but with no subs available they couldnt beat a solid arsenal defence.
mancity 2-1 sunderland
yaya, messi
falcao
mancity got the 3 points in a tight match at the Etihad. the home side go two early goals to put them in the driving seat thru yaya and lionel messi but after the break falcao grabbed a goal for the away team when he pounced on a mistake by johnson and scored. the away team put the pressure on city but the home side just about managed to cross the line.
spurs 1-1 stoke city
adebayor
cassano
both teams had to settle for a point in a pretty boring match as far as goalmouth action is considered. adebayor took his chance for spurs when he beat his marker and connected well with a cross and stoke's cassaon also took his chance well when he beat the keeper as he was put thru by kagawa.

Aston Villa 1-1 Newcastle
Two fairly equal teams, but the stand out tonight was Tiote. He completely shut down both Fabregas and VDV, this allowed Lampard to get forward, and it was him who got Newcastle's goal. However Goetze soon equalised for Villa and the result stuck at a 1-1 draw.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Fulham 2-0 Chelsea
Chelsea seemed to set up to try and quell Fulham, and unfortunately it didn't work. Busquets with a pot-shot from 20 yards opened the scoring, and it was soon followed by a lone run from Robben to double Fulham's lead.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Liverpool 1-1 Everton
The liverpool derby brought along a clash of perhaps the two best stocked central midfields in the league. But they cancelled each other out and the goals were scored by defenders. Smalling from a corner, and Alves from a late dart into the box to meet a low cross provided their fans something to cheer.
----------------------------------------------------------------
Man Utd 2-1 Arsenal
United's wingers provided a show today! Nani was imperious whilst Reus never let Marcelo breath. Nani collected both goals, an individual run finished with a breath taking shot opened the scoring, then a perfect full volley across the keeper secured his brace. Arsenal's Podolski saved Arsenal some face but it was papering over a poor performance unfortunately.
Man City 0-0 Sunderland
These two teams got the measure of each other, Ronaldo and Messi apparently can't score every game! Neither team allowed the other space or time to put any passes together, it was an interesting game, but not one that really allowed either sides flair players to impress.

Aston Villa 1-1 Newcastle
Vidal
Tevez
Villa's stronger midfield should have won them the game, but their porous defence allowed Newcastle to grab what could be an important point. Villa need to think about solidifying their defence and if that is to the detriment of their formidable midfield and attack, it may still be a good idea. The Toon crave a creative force in the midfield, but Juan knows this.
=====
Liverpool 0-1 Everton
Silva
The Merseyside derby was decided in an arguably surprising result by the unsuprising quality of Everton's world-class front-line. Benzema's injury may be a blessing in disguise and, if Everton can improve on Kaka using Benzema too, it could be a formation worth keeping for Rooney. As for Liverpool, their full-backs struggled to contain Sanchez and Silva, and that is where the game was lost. They were even in every other department but Everton's ruthlessness won them the game.
=====
Man Utd 0-1 Arsenal
Iniesta
Again, arguably a shock result but this Arsenal midfield is capable of challenging the top teams in the league and overwhelmed United today. Man Utd are far from average but at times Iniesta and Sneijder made them look so, even if they were slightly too attacking on occasion. Man Utd going forward are always dangerous with Cavani, Ozil and Nani, but Vidic and Marcelo starred today for the visitors whilst van Persie caused the inexperienced Varane all sorts of problems.
=====
Man City 2-0 Sunderland
Yaya, Messi
Interesting decision from Tranquil to favour Lucas over Wilshere, but the Brazilian's inclusion benefited the team overall as it allowed Yaya more room for manoeuvre. Sunderland's formation allowed for too much room in midfield for the league leaders, suggesting Tranquil's decision to let Toure loose was a master-stroke. Ronaldo and Messi inter-changed lanes with scary speed and ability and in truth, the latter embarrassed Azpilicueta to complete a professional display from City.
=====
Tottenham 1-2 Stoke City
Dempsey
Kagawa, Mandzukic
It is a compliment to the league that these two teams are at the bottom as both have tremendous players and surprisingly resolute defences. Stoke City's defenders were particularly inspired today, Lescott and Carvalho doing outstandingly well to steer their side to a much-needed win. Yet it must be said Dembele for Spurs was disappointing and may need to be improved upon. For Stoke, they were left too exposed for the Tottenham goal, and may need to trade Fellaini for an enforcer in the midfield. Lassana would be perfect for Stoke right now. Tottenham need a creative midfielder to slot in alongside Sandro.

Fulham 1v0 Chelsea
Fulham have a lot going for them in the final third, although the teams are hard to split in other areas of the pitch. It was eventually the home advantage that carried Fulham through.
Liverpool 1v2 Everton
Liverpool and Everton were well matched in the middle of the park but it was up front the teams varied just enough to give Everton the edge. Silva and Suarez were almost much more effective than Bale and Suarez.
Man Utd 1v1 Arsenal
Two well matched teams all over the park which in the end were impossible to separate and inevitably ended up in a draw.
Man City 1v0 Sunderland
Man City's side has proved too strong for anyone in the league so far, however, their midfield three this week didn't seem to work as well as the rest of their side and is what in the end prevented them from extending their lead. Sunderland have a very strong forward line, but playing their formation they were overrun at the back and unable to cope with Messi and Ronaldo.
Tottenham 0v1 Stoke City
There isn't much difference between these sides, but Spurs' 4-4-2 formation allowed Kagawa a lot of time and space today which caused them too many problems throughout the match.

Aston Villa 1 – 1 Newcastle
Fabregas ; Tevez
The home side looked the strongest in midfield, but the away side’s defence proved to be strong enough to only concede one. While this Newcastle side always look capable of scoring with the players they have going forward and so a draw proved a fair result.
Fulham 1 – 1 Chelsea
Ibra ; Drogba
The away side lined up defensively and it worked for them as they were able to rely on Drogba up top to make the difference. The home side dominated possession but found it difficult to break down a well drilled defence and perhaps weren’t attacking enough for this game.
Man Utd 2 – 2 Arsenal
Ozil, Reus ; Iniesta, van Persie
Another close game where the teams couldn’t be separated. Arsenal looked slightly stronger but with United at home they were able to grab a point. Both side’s weakness appeared to be at full back, as they were closely matched in most positions.
Man City 2 – 0 Sunderland
Messi, Gerrard
The away side lined up in a very attacking fashion, unfortunately this didn’t work for them. City built this victory on a strong defence, and could have perhaps lined up in a more attacking side themselves, but they still dominated the middle of the park and were able to win by a two goal cushion with the quality they have going forward.
Spurs 1 – 1 Stoke
Adebayor ; Kagawa
Another very close tie where the sides couldn’t be separated. The Stoke trio in midfield worked very well and they dominated possession. Spurs though looked the more dangerous going forward.

Aston Villa 1-1 Newcastle
Neymar : Nasri
Villa dominated for large periods but a stubborn Newcastle side managed to resist the pressure and grab a point. The home side dominated in midfield and Neymar put Villa ahead seconds after the re-start as he latched onto a fine pass from Fabregas and converted from close range. As they went looking for a second Vidal was left isolated and FB’s caught of position, Newcastle caught them on the break, Nasri clinching the equaliser.
Fulham 1-1 Chelsea
Valencia : Cazorla
A very tight game however Chelsea had enough in the locker to draw this. The vastly experienced duo of Lucio and Terry kept Ibra at bay whilst De Jong and Ramires pressed to nullify the threat of the homes sides’ midfield. In surprising fashion Chelsea took the lead through Valencia with an angled shot that took a deflection and wrong footed the keeper, Fulham responded seconds later however as Robben took advantage of a lapse of concentration from Evra and cut the ball back for Cazorla to thump the ball into the roof of the net.
Man Utd 0-1 Arsenal
RVP
Against good quality attacks this Utd defence is going to struggle and today it did just that. It was perhaps a good ploy from the Arsenal gaffer to start with a slightly attacking line-up to pave through the cracks. RVP came up with the goods after good link-up play with Sneijder. Utd had opportunities from then on in but Arsenal held out.
Man City 2-0 Sunderland
Yaya, Gomez
City look dominant at the moment and it will be hard for any side to stop them. Sunderland put in a valiant effort to stop the likes of Messi and Ronaldo however it was the Yaya Toure show today as he scored one and assisted another.
Tottenham 0-1 Stoke
Klose
Only one side came into this game looking to win and that was the away side. Carrick dictated terms in midfield and Kagawa was a threat throughout the game. The trio up front linked well Cassano linking up particularly well with Klose with the latter eventually getting his name on the score sheet.
