As the title says I'm not a fan of Parker and I'll be really, really, really, really, ANGRY if we get him!
He's 30-31 and is an average player who shined for a horrible team. He's still the same player when we sold him, infact I think he's gone worse!
I don't think he's even interested in joining a club he will most definetely won't be first choice as he's got his England spot to consider.
I know if I mention someone like Vidal or Sissoko, I'll get replies like: "They're not proven in the PL" even though box to box midfielders always find it easier to adapt in the PL. So I'll recommend a player who is in the PL:
Tiote - superb player. He would be my third choice behind Vidal and Sissoko.
Please no Parker!

I have watched them both play. Simply I don't rate them.
I feel Chelsea need to strenghten in other areas first as well and that these players are not ones we should actively target.

T & L/Free Beer - I can't decide what to call you
Of course a creative mid is no.1 priority but would you want to go into next season hoping that Ramires doesn't get injured and covering for Mikel in defensive mid also as Mikel got ACON!
If we sign a box to box midfielder who's influence deepens to defensive midfielder then that would be great and then we can win the League. As without this signing I don't think we will win.

Vidal's my number one choice. 15 mil max at that and still very very young.

Priority list, with suitable targets
Winger- Mata, Shaqiri
Creative Mid- Modric, Nasri, Pastore
As for the DM position, I hear we may get Cahill, Perhaps he may play with Terry, and Luiz will move to DM?

We still need a creative mid though. Modric to be precise.

We don't need an advanced playmaker. We need a deep-lying playmaker who would turn defence to attack and set the tempo i.e Banega, Modric, Moutinho etc.

Well said . Can't say I have a Scooby Doo who Banega is though.
Having said that I'm not sure why there is so much opposition to Scott Parker.
Parker is versatile to fit in anywhere in our three central midfield places so could be useful.
If you look at last season Essien was ineffective to say the least. Parker on the other hand was the only reason West Ham didn't get relegated by November.
I'm not saying that Parker is a great player because he isn't but I'd take Parker over Essien.

---------Mikel
Ramires - Modric
What happens if Ramires or Mikel get injured? Sissoko, Vidal and Tiote can cover both positions.
---------------------------------------
If Ramires is unavilable Benayoun/Josh would come in.
If Mikel is unavailable Ramires can be moved back and then the above would happen, or Josh could be used as DM

Kenyan, I really would not count on Benayoun's fitness, the guy makes Michael Owen seem positively healthy

He wasn't that injury prone at 'Pool, to my knowledge last season's injury was his only long-term injury in the past few years
