I just dusted off my twatter (you read that right) and see that Sky Italia are reporting that Manchester City have pulled out of the race to sign Van Persie leaving it as a two horse race between us and Juventus.
And to make things more interesting it looks as though Juventus are on the verge of signing Stefan Jovetic (a striker) from Fiorentina.
