It used to be the case that a day didn't go by without a sheep bleating on about their chances against us this coming season. It's gone a little quiet now but I'm hopeful that a Derby fan will come on to our boards to explain how they contrived to lose 2-1 to Mansfield ( sorry Derby fans I couldn't resist it)!
We play them on Saturday (behind closed doors) and it will be interesting to hear (hopefully) how our Kuwait triallists get on. I have a feeling that we will end up taking one or two.
Mansfield have already played around 6 pre-season games already and have done okay so they should give us a good indication of where we are in terms of preparation.
SoD - keep on signing!!!
Stags a test for reds after Derby lose

We also played triallists, had two different XIs in each half.. it was a kickabout.
Great idea of SO'Ds to hold your game behind closed doors though; get them Kuwaiti's used to the atmosphere at the City Ground, ain't it?!!

It seems like Derby used the game to give players match time, I think we will do the same, it would be nice to win even if it is just to gloat at Derby . However it is not hugely important - Didn't Newcastle lose 6-1 to Orient or someone before cruising to the Premiership?

We barely put two passes together in pre-season last year and then had our best start for decades.. it don'ts mean a thang, sweetcheeks.

We put all the players' numbers in a hat, then pulled 11 out to start.
It's Clough's way.
