Hi rival fan in peace. Just a few issues regarding your club I wanted to touch on and maybe get a few opinions. I will start with Hazard. I have watched both games Kagawa and Hazard have played a part in and I can safely say you have the better player. Its not just his ability because kagawa is talented aswell but Hazard can do so much but most importantly has the wow factor. Its too early to call but I think Hazard could potentially be the most talented player in the premiership.Time will tell
With regards to Guardiola, I hear a lot of united fans saying that the Catalan maybe sitting out this season in view to accepting the united post if approached. Some people have reported that he would like to coach united. I cant seem to find evidence of that, all I know is as a coach he has been asked by reporters if he would be open to coaching united and like all coaches he said he would be open to such an invitation. Nothing there that suggests he wants the united Job. I think with the players you are buying RDM effectively has one season to get it right or show progress.
Watching the likes of Hazard, marin, mata, debruyn the currenty setup and its players just calls out for Guardiola and with the money Roman has I cant see Guardiola turning you down.I believe you aree in the driving seat.Im sure like most football lovers Roman was hoirrified by the type of football you played not just in euriope but throiughout the seasoin and wants to doi his best to spruce up the image of the club internationally.
I have had a close look at the Hulk in preseason and the Olympics and I must say if you get this guy he is as close as a replacement to Drogba in world football you will ever see.The guy is not just a lump as most fans on this board will have you believe, its sort of the negative view that Ibrahimovic gets by people who have never watched him play. The Hulk is very skillfull, can even play in the wing and is a hard worker.I actually think in a season or 2 at a top club this guy can be a worlkd beater.
I end it off with John Terry, simply why is he still Chelsea Captain?I have time for Abromovich but doersnt he see that there is an opportunity for the club to start over with the old guard winding down theior careers at the club. I thought with Drogba leaving the club and Lampard surely running down his contract as I cant see him being a starter in Chelsea colours other than on sentiment, definitely not on merit, is it not logical for the captaincy to be given to someone else.
There are plenty of players who can lead the club into new era, Ivanovic or Luiz who is a natural leader in my opinion?
Thoughts?

Baby steps. No need to make wholesale changes like changing the captaincy or replacing the old guard completely.
One man tried to make wholesale changes last summer and now he is rotting in North London.

John Terry is still captain because he is still our most important CB to the first team & because he is the best leader of the team at the club.
As soon as that changes he will no longer be captain, but for now he deserves to be.

I'm with Biggish on JT.....but......
Find it difficult to come up with an argument about RDM possibly only having this season to show signs of progress.

I don't agree with much of what you say OP but you are rntitled to your opinion, I think the one thing I would cmment on particularly though is the JT bit, that is so wrong. With the loss of so many "old guard" in the last year, leaders like Terry are all the more key to the squad.
I saw Wise do the job of welcoming and gelling highly talented individuals to our team in the 90's, Terry learnt from Wise and has done this job throughout the last decade and is the perfect person to continue this at this stage.

Didn't get your preference team wise..?
JT will still be first pick on any team sheet this term (if fit or unless he doesn't need to play)

OP >
I agree with your comments that Hulk is a beast and a potential world beater at a big club.
I don´t agree with your JT comments though.
JT gets picked on merit. Simple as that. Also JT is only about 31 so he´s far from over the hill and has plenty of gas left in the tank with hopefully a good few seasons left in him.
Rio Ferdinand is about 3 or 4 years older than Terry if that helps put their ages into perspective.
