After the sale of Snodgrass I have my doubts there really is a takeover ongoing. If there was someone coming in with a big pile of cash Snodgrass would be staying as he would be onto a winner with Leeds. Warnock surely would know this and the comment along the lines of
"why join an almost certain relegation contender when you could wait a few months and you will be guaranteed a big wage and the chance of glory with the mighty whites. Even if we dont go up the new management with flood the place with more money Norwich will ever see"
He would get inflated wages within a year if we are promoted and even without promotion the club would be on a high and the place would be buzzing. Why thus join Norwich and his mates just as a short term gain as they wont last in the Premiership.
The sale of Snodgrass suggests at best a buyer who is going to carry on with the way things have been for the last few years with poor signings with little money spent. The signs are not good as we have poached virtual freebies from Portsmouth and have used only some of the cash from Snodgrass's sale (£2M??) on other players.
The other worrying aspect for me is if a buyer with money, who is a Leeds fan, was coming in why would they be so secretive. There would be no problem with a comment to the fans to say all is going well. It again doesnt look good.
I thing unfortunately this is a big smoke screen and the start of the season would begin with Bates admitting this deal has fallen through and lets try our best to get promotion.
Is there really a takeover

Webbo - I think it has a little more meaning than just fasting.
It's a holy month in the Arab World and things slow down a lot. Banks have shorter working hours and money/wealth/indulgence is put on a back burner whilst they reflect on their lives and their religion.

Stoopo - you know nothing about this takeover, stop making things up and pretending you are ITK, it's more than faintly embarrassing

That wouldn't stop anything other than them eating in daylight

They could be at the Hajj in Mecca, a very important event for Muslims to visit during Ramadan.

ovid - I could tell you the agents name who is actually brokering the deal but I'm not going to as it will jeopardise my source and I can't do that.
The only thing I will say is that another poster on here has been in touch with me and after putting what we both know together it's just confirmed 100% that what I was told is correct (I had no reason to suspect it wasn't as the source is a member of my family).
So - believe me or not - I don't give a toss really.
As for embarrassing ... most of your posts are sunshine

Im starting to doubt it now. Perhaps its going to be done in January. Why sign big money players now wen investment is comin in during the midway point

hunwick,
I direct you to my reply to Ovid. I cannot say other than it was a family member who I cannot let down by saying who the agent is who is brokering the deal for Leeds to be sold. If I do it will be obvious where the info came from...... and what do you think would happen if 10,000 Leeds fans found out who the agent is?
