Sahin operates in a deeper role, cazorla is a much more advanced midfielder. If we went for sahin I still expect us to try and get cazorla.

I really think some gooners don't know who our manager is.

If we get Sahin, Arteta would have to be benched? Surely Sahin would not join us if he wasn't guaranteed first team football. Why would he rather sit on the bench at Arsenal than at Madrid? Makes no sense.

If we are interested in him, it means Wenger wants to deploy him further up the pitch and he thinks Cazorla is too expensive.

Wilshere - remember Rosicky after coming back from a year out?

Diaby - same as above, plus he'll probably be out for the season by October.

Rosicky - injured

Song/Arteta - both played a lot of games last season - would need to be rotated a bit more this season I think to avoid injury and keep them at their best.

Safe to say we are looking at a midfielder or two

Add to that we have lost Benni and most likely Arshavin too.

Frimpong injured and Ramsey can not be relied on

90% sure he is joining Spurs as part of the Modric deal. Makes more sense. Wenger just said a few says ago we don't need deep lying midfielders, as 'we wait for Diaby and Wilshere'. I know he is a notorious liar when it comes to transfer speculation but I think he's telling the truth this time.

Walcott will simply not leave. He's not like RVP, Nasri, Cesc etc etc. He hasn't got a desire to leave us yet, look at his pics on the asia tour, I never saw Cesc or Samir smiling like that during pre-season.
