Modric and SSN

On the spurs community (I know no one likes it but...):

"Weird comment on SSN bout 10 mins ago saying no clubs have met our valuation and that "talks for a new deal are ongoing" WTF? Is there a chance luka could be staying??"

If Real don't stump up the money I could see that happening to be honest He doesn't want to go to France and Madrid aren't meeting what we want.

Would you be happy for him to stay? Mixed feelings about it from me

He didn't want to leave Madrid on a perma deal, he may be open to a loan move after struggling with injuries etc last season.

There's a bit of confusion there...my understanding was that his comment goes back before the Modric situation where he said he didn't want to leave Real

blimey....thought after that early closing out of deals....we had finally caught on to getting it done early...

but alas.....no sign of the 2 TOP strikers we have needed for,oh i don't know....3 yrs.....

I would sooner the little toad went now. He is becoming disruptive every season, and he will only be staying because nobody met his valuation, not because he wants to.

I'm disappointed at the striking & all that, but i dont know how any Spurs fan can be disappointed if our (arguably) best player, and one of the most sought after CM's in the world, was to stay with out club.

If we can welcome Ade to our club, we can see past this mess, if he were to stay, i'm sure.

This could also be yet another Levy bluff to stir Real into action

I think people saying modders might stay are doing that to save face just incase it does happen.

I love the fact that we are becoming a force in world football transfer wise....we do not just roll over we actively look for above and beyond the best deal for our club not the player and certainly not any other club. British or abroad.

I expect to see Modric in a Psg shirt I just have a feeling.

Whether Modric stays or goes does not bother me. No player is bigger than Spurs, who saying that have great talent throughout the squad. If Modric stays then we have that extra quality player, if he goes then we get enough money to buy out someone like Moutinho, who is another quality player. All I say is that Modric staying wouldn't really effect his performance, as stats prove he had a better season as an individual last season compared to the season before.

If he stays i will be over the moon. He us our best player and a premier target. If we keep him we should be jumping for joy!

Getting ever closer to the 40m mark, is it not.
A decent Madrid young prospect + 36m may seal the deal.
