Browsing the press this merry morning and a few tasty rumours. Apart from Poulsen (to Copenhagen for 2.5m, Jova to Anderlecht or Lille and Ngog somewhere or other, there's apparent interest in Sturridge (which would be great) and, wait fir it, Higuain! Don't believe the last one for a moment but Sturridge would be an exciting buy.

Have to agree with comment by Aggers Right Elbow (U3402).
I also think that this concept is also what sets Utd apart from the rest when the chips are down. They just keep fighting because of the british influence. No offense to foreign people(including myself )

Please please please let us sign Sturridge.
Given how badly we mugged Chelsea off with Torres, I'm sure they'd want at least £20m for him though.
I'm happy that we're making signings, now I want to see us getting rid of some of the deadwood. Jova and Poulsen must know they'll be lucky to get in the reserves now with the amount of midfielders we have. Not too worried about how much we get for them because clearly the owners are committed to investing anyway.

As much as I'd love higuain, I cannot see that happening at all. Sturridge would be a good option, but again I cannot see Chelsea letting him go for anything lower than 20million.

Ah, the good old myth about English grit and fighting spirit. Is that why England haven't made a major tournament final in close to half a century while the lily-livered, weak-hearted fairies from France, Argentina, Brazil, Spain, Holland etc have won loads between them. Hell, even Greece have managed to be crowned Euro champions. Wonderful logic.
United's success has nothing to do with an English backbone and everything to do with having some of the best in the world in their positions -Ronaldo, Giggs, Evra, Scholes, Vidic, Van der Sar, Rooney etc- along with team unity and a great manager. Having Carrick in the side doesn't give them any extra spine.
Some of their most tenacious battlers in recent years include Stam, Tevez and Vidic. Don't see what being English has to do with it.

to say man us success is nothing to do with homegrown players is laughable. Scholes, Giggs,Nevilles,Bruce, Pallister, Rooney,Beckham the list goes on. Compare that to Arsenal and you het somewhere near the truth.

United always
KK = King Kenny
but I have often thought what it would be like to have Kevin Keegan as Liverpool manager. I would need to top up my health insurance.
