his natural position is wide forward. that's where Ajax played him and he's played most of the time for Uruguay.

Suarez's natural position for club and country through his whole career has been striker, I don't see why that's suddenly changing just to help your argument that selling one of our worst players is a questionable decision.

No. His natural position has always been wide forward. Just because you're confused about that, doesn't mean I'm trying to help my argument.

If you watch him play, you'll understand that. He loves cutting in from wide and curling the ball into the net. Playing as a man striker, you shouldn't be doing that and it's what caused us many problems last season in the Suarez lone striker nobody in the box system.

he was wide left for Uruguay yesterday

Jol played him on the right of a 4-2-3-1 with license to cut inside

Ronaldo put up those kind of numbers starting wide cutting inside in the final 3rd. Robben has 40 in 60 in a similar role in a better league.

No he's in a 4-4-2 in Uruguay, partnering Cavani. And since when has a wide player scored 90 goals in 110 appearances like he did at Ajax? Sounds more like a striker's tally to me..
--------------------------------
Please it's getting cringeworthy now. I suggest you actually watch the games he played in rather than guessing he played as a striker due to his goals to games ratio.

Ajax played with a lone striker

It's Jol's preferred 4-2-3-1

Suarez played on the right 90% of the time.

He was wide left yesterday.

I give up
